Full face helmets?

I was ripping at a local hill in wisconsin, and noticed two people who were in full face helmets.

to me full faces in the midwest are reserved for either someone with epilepsy or they cant ski!

hah

?

yeah, i've never really understood why people wear them unless they rip big mountain or tree lines

ive skied in a full face, backcountry days in tight trees can call for it, same with big big mountain lines.

midwest? no.

i thought they were cool ad wanted one, then i realized im not about to huck 200 foot cliffs, so i has a normal one

For our ski team in high school we had to have a face guard for slalom races. I had some R.E.D helmet that wasn't faceguard compatible at the time and had to get a new one. I bought the cheapest helmet I could find, and it also happened to be full faced.
