i do 60 % park and i need nhelp mounting. i went to my local shop and the guy said most people get +3. on NS everyone is sayin 7.5- 10. what is core center's position in centimeters? im so confused. what postion is true center? where should i mount mine? im riding the 169 and im 5 6 120

I had the same problem, at first they were mounted way too far back. But I got them remounted at the core center I think. What ever is in the middle.

ok so i just found out that 0 is where the midsole mark is, and 7 is center. so fro a mix of park and all mtn, i do +3- thats what als ski barn said

my skis for the past 3 years have been true center and i just bought new PE's and i wasnt sure if i shuold get true or now. i told the guy i do about 80% park and he said he recomends +6 because it is like the closest u can get to true but u get that little bit of extra control when just riding and you are not really going to notice it when u are riding switch

+4 is like the farthest you can go out before your tips will start diving in powder. So if you're going to do a good amount of powder riding i would stay at +4 or below. Personally, i put mine at +4 and it rocked, i rode a lot of good powder and rode the park all week with them.

well i live in the east so i get 3 pow day a year if im lucky. but i plan on having them for next season, and im plannin on goin to college in colorado i think im goin either 3 or 4

ok so i turned my skis in opposite directions. midsole is pretty far back and then its marked +7 where its core center but core center is not the true center. there was a couple inches of space between the core center markings. so +7.5 is core center, ans people who go above that are getting closer toward true center? whats the standard mounting- core center or midsole? im so confused

Core center is +7cm from midsole. Your shop is fucked if they say +2. You dont want to mount fujatives anywhere behind core center unless you hate park. For mostly park, go core center. Thats where the fujatives are supposed to be ridden at, its +7 or +7.5cm I think its 7 though. If you do all park you can go ahead of that, true center (the exact center of the ski, whereas core center is the center of the sidecut) is somewhere around +12 from midsole. Dont mount there unless you all park and want a lot of tail. I think you said 60% park, if thats correct go mout them at core center. If your shop wont do that or if they think its too far forward, take your skis to another shop because core is recomended on those skis, if they want to mount park skis behind the recomended line they dont know what they are doing.

And to answer part of that, I think I attempted already: Core center is the center of the sidecut, true center is the center of the ski, like if you took a ruler and measured the ski and divided by 2. Anything much ahead of core center is going more park specific. Eventually you will be off the binding mat, if that means anything at all. If you mount at +9cm, that is closer to true center, ahead of the center of the sidecut. Midsole is only there to measure from, core center is recomended. Fuck midsole, just ignore it, all you need to know is that they are measured from there so mounting at midsole will be at +0.

there was a big thread about mounting fuji's and it helped me out alot ill see if i can find it...i decided to mount mine at core center which is +7.5....

correct me if I'm mistaken....but I thought that:

MIDSOLE: center of the sidecut

CORE CENTRE: balance point of the ski

TRUE CENTER: length/2 or in other words the visual centre of the ski.

You seem to be saying that core center is the center of the sidecut...but on most skis isnt that where the midsole/recommended lin is? If so...this thread might confuse a lot of people
