Thursday is not real emo band. Taking Back Sunday is not a real emo band. Fugazi is a real emo band. They are a DC hardcore band that decided they wanted to discuss emotions as well as society. If you listen to them, you get the harsh music of the DC scene, but you also get the bluntly emotional lyrics that really control your emotions.

i say everyone quit bickering about what is 'emo' or not. form your own opinions and listen to what you want. everything doesnt need to be put into a label. if you like it listen to it, if you dont, dont listen to it.

I don't give afuck what it is, they are on of the most musicly talented 'punk' bands I can think of. there stuff kicks ass. I can;t stop listening to The Arguemeny and End Hits! they are so good! also one of their members was part of Minor Threat. they are really really good. probably one of my favorite bands now and I listen to alot of music!

^I hope you're not directing that at me. I realize that you cannot put a label on all music, i was only pointing out that real emo music is defined by Fugazi.

I do agree that most good music requires emotion to be good, but i dont agree that makes all music or no music emo. Dancehall music is designed for dancing, but you can dance to lots of other kinds of music. Just slow down there buddy.

^I do apologize. i was only attempting to give some of these kids some insight on where Thursday's (among other bands) music came from. Fugazi is so diverse in their muscial ability that i was not trying to limit them to emo, i was only saying that they are considered a real emo band.
