from someone that went to high school in littleton.. you've got to be kidding me. I've been off odd future for a while now but this is just ridiculous, I'm not sure what would make you want to give a shout out to the Columbine gunmen
 
go cry about it some more, columbine was nothing compared to past events in the history of the human species
 
Obviously what they did was horrific but in a way he's kind of right but at the same time it's a very controversial thing to say which is probably why he said it to define himself even more as that type of person. your just helping him by publicizing it
 
I hate to say it, but he's probably right. I actually kind of feel bad for those kids, but what they did was awful. Also, I don't really think Tyler is saying he likes what they did. As usual, he's just pushing the limits.
 
you guys realize it was an act of domestic terrorism? I don't know how you can ignore that. These kids shot up a bunch of innocent people in my hometown.. Kids my age with futures and goals and normal lives, you can't excuse that much less give them a shout out. I know the dude feeds on hype/publicity good or bad but that is such an insanely cold thing to say for someone that has probably never stepped foot inside Colorado

The columbine shooters were outcasts, he is saying they were probably cool kids and things couldve been different if people got to know them. You're too eager to put tyler down or talk shit, relax and think about what he said a little more.
 
I know, but just being an outcast doesn't give you the right to go around shooting people. That's why I don't think they deserve a RIP or any of that nonsense Tyler's giving them. Just my two cents though.

Oh no doubt they didnt have the right, nothing can give anyone the right to kill innocent people. Tyler's point has been made many times before, "if those kids weren't bullied maybe this tragedy would have never occured" he just took it to another level with the RIP tag.
 
That may be so, but lots of kids are bullied. How many of them actually snap and pull a Columbine? I guess what I'm wondering is what other factors are involved to make someone actually go off that way, versus a normal kid who just goes home and cries, or maybe punches someone and then moves on with his life.

I don't give a shit. Gothic and Emo culture is based off of hate and making bigger deals out of problems that most people face. Most people, when bullied, brush it off or retort. This people shoot up schools. They're culture is a joke. IDGAF if I'm a "bigot" I'll speak my fucking mind.
 
He isn't condoning what those two did he's making a point that the kids had they been listened to and accepted may not have done that shit. However this is good publicity it got you talking about it it got me talking about it. It's controversial and edgy and will get people Talkig about this Tyler the creator who they had never heard about before hand and now they do. smart way to utilize twitter I suppose trying to hustle his name out there. Hitler was a great leader but he fucked that up. In regards to Tyler status, i think it's appropriate, he's not saying that what they did was right but he's saying there was more to it.
 
Last year I went to a conference about Columbine called Rachel's Challenge. Rachel was one of the people killed at Columbine and the conference is put on by her brother, who was also at Columbine, and her family. Her uncle and brother put on the one I was at. Her brother talked about how he and his 2 best friends were hiding in the library when the shooters came in. When they came in they targeted one of his friends because he was black. (Columbine has like 5 black kids a year) The shooters shouted racial slurs at the kid and then shot him in front of his 2 best friends. The brother was left unharmed without knowing that his sister had all ready been killed.

So fuck those kids, they were much worse then some emo kids with "problems.' They were terrorists, they hated the world, hated innocent people, and deserved to die. I have no sympathy for those pieces of shit.
 
No, Hitler was a fucking populist, who rallied a shitload of existing leaders on his side, along with experienced generals and war-makers with a grudge from WW I. Hitler, on his own, didn't lead shit-all, just made some minor calls, with one personal grudge ending up being a kind of a big deal.

Also, the Hitler Card has been played, this convo is now irrelevant.

Why do people kill themselves?

Imagine if every single person you know makes fun of you, picks fun at your insecurities , and actually tries their hardest to hurt you emotionally. Imagine not feeling the love or acceptance of anyone at all.

Im not agreeing with what happened at columbine by any means, those pieces of shit might have deserved the bullying they received, I don't know and neither does anyone on this site but look through their eyes for a second. Maybe you have never experienced the feeling of being backed into a corner by your peers, I have and its not the best feeling when you pile it on top of your own insecurities. You either end up hating your self, hating your attackers or hating everything.

but ya I think tyler is just shooting for a rise, with a little message slipped in there. but I have a biased opinion so fuck it.
