Fucking NYS Cops

IM on my way home from my girlfriends house at like 8, got pulled over 54 in a 40 which i coulda sworn to be a 45 (yes i kno its still speeding) but idk what to do bout this, first ticket and first time getting pulled over im only 16 and heard that i could get my liscence taken away if i have the points that id get...idk i need help, what do i do
 
NYS Troopers do not play games. and they show up in court for every ticket. just pay it. maybe get a lawyer to get rid of the points.
 
how much do you think it be... and all im really worried about is the insurance shit and points on my liscence
 
im more worried about the points or whatever wiill happen with my licence seeing that im only 16... any any idea on the cost
 
get a lawyer. it'll probably cost the same as the ticket and it'll get reduced to parking on the curb or something stupid. if you just pay it it'll come back to bite you in the ass when your car insurance goes way up. a 16 year old w/ a speeding ticket is going to pay a shit ton.
 
Not that this is accurate/true information but NYS cops seem like the worst. I've been to over 10 states and have had cop interactions in a few. They were all really chill. Then you have the new york cops that make me get out of the car and shit when I can't find my insurance. And I've been in my friends car and we couldn't find the registration and he just checked out the sticker on the front and let it slide.
 
damn, that's shady. I've never had a cop be like... "Mehh you don't have your papers on ya? I'll let it slide. I believe you." I don't know if I'd want an over lax wishy-washy cop protecting my hometown. Yeah, it's cool to have cops give you a break now and then, but idk
 
Our town is trying to decide if they want to get rid of the cops (All 10 of them and 4 cars for our 3000 person town) and see if the sheriffs can patrol so now we have 4 town cops and 4 sheriffs in our small town at any given moment. Not to mention the state troopers because rt 20 goes through. Half the time I see 3 or more cop cars sitting behind one scared shitless person or 2 cars sitting together talking. Every single person I have talked to about it has been pulled over twice. I've been stopped 4 times in the past year. Things like this should not be happening. Go find some fucking criminals you lazy bastards.

And to the OP. You're an idiot. Don't speed and there won't be a problem. If anyone can say fuck NYS cops, I can.
 
you will be fine dude, its a speeding ticket, everyone gets them, and even if you somehow get enough points to get into license suspension range, you can take traffic school, drop em, and be good to go
 
this. if your going to speed make sure you know where the cops hang out, have a radar dector, or have your dad be a cop so you can get out of any speeding ticket.
 
Not true around here.

You could probably fight it and win. Just plea not guilty and show up at court. Worst case is youll still get the ticket, best case is youll walk
