alright guys. Here's the dealio. LAst year i had has a run in with corey vanular at a new years party. I was Racing at the time and the lifestyle sucked, i hated skiing and racing was beat. I had no fun and i was about to make the ever so traveld path to snowboarding, till i met vanular. Im like werrrd dude, skiing seems mad chill and ill give it a shot. So i immediatly quit racing, bought some twins and never looked back. My dad is into racing so he was tenitave to the whole thing, had no idea what it was about. So to make a long story short, My race Ex-race team sees me as this huge fucking pouser that want's to be corey vanular, and my dad thinks freeskiers are a huge irresponsable ass holes and its a cultue that cant find them selvs and wont give it respect, he thinks what i do is a waste of time and any one can do a sw cork 10. Im in a hole and it sucks balls. All this cause i stoped racing. FUCK IT

Man that kid post whored it up. Anyways, I didn't quit racing, I still do it because it helps with my abilities. I just race with some old skis and bring my twins with me to the mountains so between runs, I take it to the park.

that sounds like bullshit man, freeriding has one of the best atmospheres, my g/f races and i c that before all the races they just chill by themselves scraping theyre skis and worrying, on the other hand, freeriders, before comps, talk to eachother, pump themselves up and are super syked to see sick runs, its good shit

if you didn't love racing then there's no way you were going to make it to the top. And what's the point of being a mediocre racer? At least you're passionate about freeskiing. Don't worry about the doubters and walk (ski) your own path. Shane McConkey and many many others have faced the exact same battle with family and community.

Being out there skiing every day, good or bad, just playing around with friends, with no contests or filming- that is the real spirit of skiing for me. that is why i started skiing, and if i lose those moments that is what will make me stop skiing.

word i do own a clothing company, and this has somthing to do with my fucking company? If your trying to imply somthing its nnot gonna work. Im a kid just like you guys, im 16 and i have problems with this racing shit and i asked for your advice and that some how has somthing to do with me owning a ski company? ill hae to disagree. BUT my dad also helps me with some of the financial burdens of owning a company so its a vicious cycle.

 
i race it is cool but i like freeskiing alot my dad (and the kids who posted this messages dad) thinks that he should go run gates and thinks that we sit on our asses by the terain park and dont do any thing
