Fucking Abortion

It should be their choice no matter what, but especially in cases of rape, birth defects, what not. It's the mother's choice, and no woman should have to carry a child that they don't want-it will just lead to the mother and the child being miserable later on. And yes, I'm saying it...an embryo is just a parasite feeding off the mother, it isn't it's own entity until it's born. That's all.
 
im not disagreeing with anyone... i just think its interesting how its always the girls fault for deciding to have sex JUST because she's the only one who can get pregnant.
 
yea it takes two people to have sex, which means two people have to make the decision to have sex. she took the risk

what makes it "murder" in cold blood? at the point in which abortions are done, the fetus is hardly developed at all. it's not really even alive yet. i know that we're never going to see eye-to-eye on this topic, but i thought i might try anyways.

plus, abortions provide stem cells for research, which in the future, will probably cure cancer and aids.
 
I have much less of a problem with abortion in the first three weeks following conception. in the first three weeks, the embryo has no human form, no organs, it's just a collection of cells. I'm against abortion after week 3 except in cases like rape, etc.

If you don't want to get pregnant or end up paying child support, be responsible.
 
you also have to think about not only the kids life, but also the chick's. she probably wont have the cash or time to go to college, get a good job, all that shit. she'll be throwing her life away because of one stupid mistake. and birth control isn't 100% effective. trust me, all you guys saying you're pro-life, would feel alot different if you were a pregnant seventeen year old girl. its probably not the easiest thing.
 
I agree completely. it's the womans body and life and her choice on what to do with it. an embryo does not have feelings, it's not a human being yet and therefore it's not murder.

oh, and also I think it's interesting how so many people are pro death penalty, but not abortion. because death penalty IS murder, abortion is NOT.

i totally agree with the right to free choice. If you dont want YOUR life ruined by something that hasnt even experienced life, then you should have the choice to pursue your right to life, liberty and happiness...as it says in the declaration of independence, or some document along those lines

maybe you should man up and take the girl to get her check up instead of whining like a little boy on newschoolers. someday if/when you get a woman pregnant you can express your views on abortion with her. until then, stay out of other people's business and be a man when a girl comes and asks a favor of you.
 
this is how i see it, any girl here not ready to have a baby, even if they are incredably against abortion would probably get one. U cant say u wont untill u are put into that situation. I dont think anyone has a right to make laws against something that will never affect them, like old mother fuckers in the goverment who never have to worry about conception at a young age. It's not morally right but it should never be illegal, and always be up to the women whethor she wants it or not, period.

well..a few of my friends/close family friends have had abortions recently.. i'm 17, and i know that if i got knocked up tomoorrow, theres no way i could take care of a child on my own. each person's reasons for getting an abortion are different, so you really shouldn't stereotype that situation. but, in cases of incest or rape, i DEFINTELY think abortion should be permitted

but thats just my 2 cents. i researched margaret sanger and the birth control movement in america for the national history day project like 2 months ago..
 
ok so basically sex is a natural thing...everyone does it, its a human instinct. You dont have to be "mature" enough to handle it. If you want it..have it. If you get knocked up and you truely don't believe you will be able to provide a good life for that child, then it is ok to get an abortion, as long as it is before stage 2 in the pregnancy. I researched this topic on a debate team i was on awhile ago, and in stage 1, there is barely anything to the fetus, so it wouldnt matter if you got rid of it. I am completely against woman who have abortions after stage 2 of pregnancy because they truely are killing a human being. I always thought i wanted kids until i spent a weekend taking care of my aunt's newborn, when i realized that i never wanted to have to deal with anything like that ever again. I watched what my parents, and my friend's parents had to deal with while raising me, and i personally praise them for being strong people and putting up with teenage shit. I personally am someone who could never have kids, and some people just aren't meant to ever have them. I would rather hear about some woman having an abortion rather than hearing about some child that was abused and abandoned.
 
there is something called adoption, and many people would love to adopt, I met a woman once whos mother was raped and she was ut up for adoption. So you are dsayin you think that she shoulda never been born, asshole

the line between the two may be very hard to draw, but there is a difference between killing a one week old fetus, and a one year old baby.
 
The difference is that the raped mother wanted to have the child, even to put the baby up for adoption when born...if the mother doesn't want to have a baby she shouldn't have to. I am not saying that woman shouldn't have been born, I'm saying that in the case a mother doesn't want a child, she shouldn't be forced to keep it.
 
This issue will never every be clear cut, I in principle believe people should have a choice, because choice is good, but abortion doesn't sit well in my head. I really adivse against it, but fro some reason i can never be 100%for or against it.

The fact is that this debate centers on one question: is or isn't the foetus a "person". That doesn't mean "human being", it has human DNA... in a moral sense, is it worthy of consideration equal to that of a fully developed human being. This is not a scientific debate, but an ethical one, and if moral personhood is developed as consciousness matures (and there's good reason to suppose this; after all, children at various stages of development are subject to different rules and different measures of protection than adults), then that raises certain points of argumentative interest. However, it seems that standards like those need some justification; in what ways do we treat children differently from adults, and why, and how do foetuses fit into this and why? Mary Warren does an excellent job of supporting her arguments on this point... unfortunately, she does seem to be dodging infanticide rather than providing a clear reason why it's not implied by her theory. Shockingly enough, I'm not even sure that bothers me to a point of theor dismissal... though the implications are disturbingly counterintuitive.

I'm all about women's right to choose. Call me a flaming liberal or what you will, but I'm also all about owning handguns, so that disproves that theory. Although I'd probably NEVER have an abortion (unless rape), I feel strongly about women having the choice.

I'm all about EDUCATION as well, educating girls AND guys about safe sex, the pill, the shot, STD's, the whole nine yards because statistics show countries that are more open about sex and sex education have less teen pregnancy. Did you know that sperm can live in the woman's body for up to 5 days?! No one taught me THAT shit in HS. Found that out from my sister I think.

PS - much rather have a mother go through an abortion than try to use a coathanger or throw the baby in the trash.
 
Ok a few points to adress.

1) Now dont be stupid a sperm cell is not a human. However once it penetrates the egg and starts devoloping I think its pretty safe to say its human. You cant say that just because a human is underdevoloped it isnt human. Its like saying that a four year old baby is not a person till its five.

2) I have had sex and actually do it quite often. There is no way to prove it so take my word for it. However when I have sex I wear a condom and my grilfriend is on birth control. However on the off chance that she were to become pregnant we would raise the baby.

3) Its not the mothers right to kill her baby. Thats what it is called KILLING.

4) I am 100% for schools teaching methods of contrception. It is very important. However the truth is that the only way of 100% not getting pregnant is not having sex. Kids cas also be told about oral sex and other fun things you can do. If you use a condom and it does not break you have about a 99%. If you add in birth control it goes up to 99.999%. That sound pretty good to me.

5) "If it is outlawd only outlaws will prosper" That being said if abortion is outlawed then only shady doctors will preform them. Making risk to the mother very great.

In conclusion it is a tricky topic. I am ok with the system now and dont really care for the goverment to get any more involved in our lives but killing is killing.

Same way I am agains the death penality.

How can you justify that it is ok to kill a killer because he kills. Dosent that make you a killer. Then shouldent you be killed? It is a paradox and we are the only county that openly condones the death penalty.
