I am 110% against abortions, but my fucking friend got knocked up by her boyfriend. I was against her getting an abortion but she went anyway and got one. We are at college and her boyfriend is at a different college didn't come down or anything jut sent her $200. But now she needs a check up at the place and fucking asked me becuase he friends refuse because shes a fucking bitch and whore. So now I have to drive two hours to a place that I hate more than anything in the world so this girl can get checked up and make sure she has no infections. What the fuck I hate this shit. Its a 200 mile drive too, fuck
 
abortions are good, its all bout choice bud. if someone turns out to be an accident they will consequently be loved less, and also the mother may not be completly ready for mothering a child and chances are the kid will be born outer wed lock.

And no, you dont HAVE to drive 200 hundred miles to do anything. You are obviously tooling yourself out. And shes in college, she should be able to handle it herself.
 
what the hell are you talking about? I've got an idea - how about we go ahead and teach our kids that its okay to have sex, because if they get pregnant, they can just get an abortion. they dont need to take responsibility for what they do, because they can just take the easy way out and kill their baby. but its cool, because scott peterson killed two people when he killed his wife an unborn baby, but it's not murder to get an abortion.

i met a girl that got 4 abortions. 4. i agree that in certain circumstances, like rape or the baby is for sure going to have sever birth defects, abortion is the way to go.

think about how many fucking people are waiting to adopt kids. i have to go because the period just ended, but i could rant for an hour.

you try getting pregnant when you have no chance of giving the child a good life, when you are already under lots of pressure, when you feel you're being judged by every single person.

my friend had her daughter when she was 17 and she struggled but she was able to manage. It is very rare that girls that age can do it. AND she was kicked out of her house...she had to do it all alone. the father peaced and she was left to take care of a child when she should be in high school.

her reason for not getting an abortion is because she's an adopted child and felt it a personal duty to have it.

abortion offers women a choice..and often times they are not pregnant because they've made a mistake and didnt take all of the precautions..my friend took every precaution possible..she was always on birth control.

sometimes it is better to get an abortion as a selfless act...to assure that there is not a child in the world born into a life of poverty and poor upbringing.. at times that is the best thing you can offer that child.

Infanticide was abolished, not because it was about termating another's life, but because the Church suspected parents of sleeping around with either others or having sex with bad motivation (pleasure). Most killing have been done in bed (in the middle ages, everyone shared beds).

Abortion, for me, should be 100% legal. Its called human rights. A woman should not give up her life because of an accident (or stupidity). Any woman that had an abortion never wanted it again.

A foetus does not have memory, feeling or rational thought. It could also be considered a growth, like a tumor.

What about girls that have been raped? should that be wrong?

What is worst for you, a child growing up in either an environment were a mother is too young, or unfit for duty or a child growing up in an environment were he doesn't know his parents. Both situations are wrong.

The argument of a mother shared a inexplicable bond with a child is total bullshit. It has been show that fathers also have a maternal instinct. Also, in many cases, children become slaves/prisoners in a house in were no care has been provided. The parents (mothers too) never wanted a child and couldn't give a shit about keeping it.
 
I used to be all for the whole "choice" thing, but now I'm for sterilization and castration (kidding).

Seriously, if you're not smart and able enough to handle the consequences of your actions, then don't put yourself in the position (no pun intended). Think before you act.

Sure, it seems fun on a friday night to get drunk and fuck but you always need to think about what happens in the morning.

Having a child is a selfless act, you're raising another human being...

on a lighter note, I'm a proponet of rasing the term in which an abortion can be had to 16 years.
 
i don't men really should even have a say about this at all. personally, i am opposed to abortion UNLESS you did use contraceptive and it failed, or you were raped. i think by allowing confidential abortions to underaged women sends the message that it's ok to fuck up because you can just get an abortion and mom and dad will never have to know. and to me that is totally wrong- if you aren't responsible enough to use protection you probably aren't mature and responsible enough to be having sex at all. as for adults, it's your body- and your choice.
 
so wait, ur friend is adopted, not aborted, hows it her duty to have the kid? she kept it and didnt give it up, but thats not about abortion.

no but it was far too late for her to have an abortion when she found out she was pregnant..and the only reason she KEPT the child as opposed to giving it away was because she's adopted herself.

and she does have a life..she has a great life..we are a fair bit older so most of my friends are starting to have children NOW..she just got a crazy head start.

she is now a college graduate and works for a political leader. she's very successful and a great mother. she has a fabulous life all beacuse she worked very very very hard for it.
 
like I said..she did take all of the precautions...the girl has been on birth control since she was 14 to regulate her period.it's called bad luck. nothing is 100% only abstonance and well ha. so had she decided to not have her child i would have supported her all the way because, no it's not a cop out. you aren't a woman, you know nothing. get out of here. it's not your choice. you don't even have a say in it legally. and there is a reason for that.

when you get rid of your penis, grow a vagina and female reproductive organs, then you can try to MAYBE understand even the tiniest idea why a woman would want to get an abortion.until you've been in the position you can't knock it. it's an extremely hard decision to make but sometimes it is the most logical one.
 
1: Birth control isn't always 100%, like you mention, but I'm sure that a condom probably could have made a difference.

2. No, I suppose it is your choice, as it's your body. But I find that most of the time, men are only involved when it comes to the economics of the situation while the rest of his opinion is often left out.

Which is why I still think that it is a selfish cop out when people do not factor in the consequences of their actions.

i understand that and I respect a man should most definitely have some type of say in it.

i am just saying that for a woman it is a very hard decision and if she comes to terms with what needs to be done and she decides to go through with it, then it is her choice. Sometimes it really really is the only 'solution'

and yes often times men are only involved when it comes to financial issues..but there are reasons for that as well..reasons that I have first handedly experienced (unfortunately)

WOW, might want to restate that buddy. How about Freedom of Choice is good? whether you are pro-life or pro-choice, I highly doubt you meant that Aborting a child is a good thing. If you did, jesus christ man.
 
I fail to see the logic in abortion. When does a human become a human? When it is born? Second trimester? I fell that as soon as the egg is fertilized it is human. Abortions give people the right to kill. Why not just cap the kid in the face when he is four because you want to take a job in france or some shit... or go on a three day bender and get all fucked up. A child is a responsibilty which makes sex a responsibilty. Never have I heard of anyone getting pregnant with out haveing sex. Um well no people in recent history. The only time I condone abortion is in cases of rape in incest and even then it is a thin line. If you still want to have sex then do it safe. Me and my girlfriend have sex a lot but the kicker is she is on bith control and we use condoms. 99.999999% effective but if one of my buddies sliped through then she would have the baby and I would care for it plane and fucking simple...
 
yeah you might not think of it as right but still.... think about the situation. what if a high school girl with no money got pregnant? would you rather have the child grow up living in those bad conditions?
 
I am very liberal. Nothing gives another person the right to take a human life in cold blood. This is not self defence. You cant take a human life because it is not convient for you to have a child. DONT FUCKING HAVE SEX IF YOU DONT WANT A CHILD. I know its harsh but its the truth. On another not in no way do I believe in any type of organized religion. So none of my belifs are based on religion.

BE RESPONSIBLE DONT FUCK A GIRL YOU DONT LOVE AND DONT HAVE SEX IF YOU ARE NOT READY TO DEAL WITH THE CONQUENCS.

again... If she is in highschool and does not have any money then fuck she should not have sex!!! Our generation has to learn to be responsible for its decisions.

if you say "oh god she is only in highschool and she got knocked up man why no aboution" You forget she has hot sloppy sex and had not problem with that.

abortion, highly debated topic, however, how can a GUY say that abortion is wrong when theyt have no idea what its like to give birth, and you cant just say o i wouldnt have an abortion if i got pregnant at 15, it wouldnt be right, i would bring the child into the world and ruin mine and its life because i cant support even myself. so really, its a girls choice to chose wether or not to get it, guys shouldnt have any right at all to say wether its wrong or right.
 
It sounds like some people try to restrict services to others based on their beliefs. Abortion is a personal choice, it cannot be decided by society. Abortion is a cultural decision. That either cant be decided by the whole. Its just like sex, society cannot tell you if and when you can have sex, or with whom. All the state can control is The safety of the procedure.
 
Yes that is their choice and if you read my other threads I said that in cases of rape, incest, and sever birth defects then yes a choice should be given.

I hat to tell you this but there are very few aboutions from rape. And if the girl is using birth control then the odds lessen even more.
 
Abourtion is not societys choice!!! You cant say when a human becomes a human!!! That is the stupidest argument ever.

Abourtion is not a service it is the goverment condoned killing of an inniocent human being!!! Cant you see this? I am not a girl and I have no idea what it is like to have a child but I know what it is like to have sex and its a two way street.

She shoulden have unprotected sex if she is not prepared to have a child.

Yeah i agree abortion is not right, but if the child wouldnt be given a good life, and knowing you are not gonna be ready of if it is concieved by rape.. then i think it's fine.

My best friends cousin whom is 16, had a baby yesterday.. she is born again christian so she wasn't allowed to get an abortion.. infact i think she was happy to have a baby.. if i was her i wouldnt have known what to do.. baby at 16? i dont think so!
 
The problem with the argument "but if the child wouldnt be given a good life" is that we cant travel through time. That child could become the next President of the USA fo all we know.

as long as your not having an abortion, it is not your choice in the matter at all. it is 110% (like you said) up to the chick. some people are not ready to be mothers, but they get pregnant... sometimes there is no other option

BUUUUUUUT, it is also a social problem. Parents and schools are adopting the abstence rule. They believe that hear no sex, speak no sex and see no sex will decrease the sex urges of a human being. But that is wrong. Missinformation leads to unwanted pregnences. Missinformation and warped knowledge leads to myths, which in western society is VERY present!(we all know the first time rule!)

We should not punished the missinformed person, accident(condom piercings or contracepton when wrong, nor the raped person.)

What is wrong about getting rid of internal cells? A human is a human when it takes its first unassisted breath. Otherwise, it is not a living being.

A Life is better than having no life.

To your statement about having "no idea." You're right, I'll have no idea what its like. But half of what went into the creation of the pregnancy came from guys, so I think we should have a choice as well.

And yes, I can say abortion is wrong or right, because I have the right to my own opinions, like women today have their right to choose. Men do not have that option of choice. Most of the time, we're only included in the economics of the situation.
 
I am pro choice. and for all the people who are anti abortion, your opinion doesnt count.
 
she made the choice to have sex. even though she was on birth control she knew there was a chance she could get pregnant. she made the choice and in return gets the consequences.
