Damn, ski tickets r getting hella expensive, I mean, vail and some of those mountains have nearly 70 dollar a day passes!! Something has to be done about those rich old fuckers that keep driving op the ski prices. Or ski bums will have to become just plain bums.

vail: $71 a day. most expensive resort in north america.

Holy shit!!!!

How much is a season pass to a big resort... say Whistler Blackcomb...???

(I ski Europe - thought it was expensive here, but I guess I thought wrong)

HAHA yeah Stratton full day full price pass is somewhere between $72 and $75 this year. That is RAPE! I love how I can get my pass for $299 to stratton. Ha.

Yeah, I ski in Amerika, its crazy, the damn price of ticket is too much. I ski at one place in Idaho, the lodge was to big and fancy, with gold plated toilets and gormet food, we dont need all that shit, it just drives up the passes.

its $60 at mammoth - but you can get a pass for $399 thats valid for mammoth and june

It's not just the ticket prices, it's everything. They jack up the food prices obscenely. At Mt. Snow it's 4 bucks for a Redbull knockoff and 3.50 for a slice of pizza.

28 dollars all day for 200 feet of vertical one lift and 3 runs. Not too mention the price of food.

There is nothing motherly about mother nature. Except for her big mountainous breasts.

I got my full season pass to winter park for like $120, suckers! Winter park has like 3,000 aceres! although ya a lot of other places are ecfuckingspensive. and still at winter part it is like $2 for a baked potato

It is funny: there isn't a single ◊◊ run on Buttermilk. Atleast they have over 2 miles of park because that is all the mountain is good for

yeah food prices are insane now you can get a piece of pizza, coke, and chips and it will run you 20 bucks.

they can keep raising the ticket prices to $100 as long as I can get a pass for $199 for all I care

really the increasing day pass prices only effect vistiors.. most of the time i you buy early you can get a pass to any expensive resort for a reasonable price.

-thespinstopshere-

yeah some indian fellow suggested that they should have all teh managers at the bottom of the lift so we can kcik them in the nuts wiht out skiboots on cause thats what they're doing to us everytime we pay 60 bucks for a ticket

I aggree about the passes v.s. buying day tickets exept for, I think it is about 1200 CND $ for a pass to whistler or something

The reason prices have gone up at ALL resorts is because insurance for ALL resorts has more than tripled since last year.

The troll stole my Santa!

No, its because the owners want to gouge the people to death. Anyways, I got my pass for free.

And when you think about it, it really sucks for canadians, to travel in the states, because paying for a $70 lift ticket at vail is about a $120 cnd or so,

so fuck you bush,

Whistler ain't all that bad, they let university students get a season's pass for $325 cdn. (but regularly $1285) that's a hella lot cheaper than this local mount in Vancouver that's got one third the elevation and charges $405 for a youth, early-bird rate season's pass. and the local mount is more profit-driven than Intrawest, i know cuz I work for them.

250 vert feet, 4 chairlifts, like 6 tow ropes, one godawful park:

25$ a day to hoosiers

working there and getting free lifts:

you know whats sick this year? anyone can get a free pass to stratton, all you have to do is sign a waver that says that you wont do drugs or drink alchole and you got yourself a free seasons pass. just show up this weekend on sunday and go to ciders resteraunt with your parents. they will have to sign too, but then you gots yourself a free seasons pass! Thats the shit!

lol more profit driven than intrawest . . . that's all intrawest is, a big corporation for as much profit as possible . . . well it better be cause I have stock in them

yep, but arnt all companys profit drivin? amc is, but they suck. Interwest has just got the shit goin for them right now

we have 300ft vertical 1 chairlift a teebar and a tubing hill and its like $20 day 10am to 10pm we are rockin the cheap tickets adn the HUGE vertical

amc just plain fucks over skiers & snowboarders cause they have so much damn money anyway. intrawest stills charges too much, but that's just stratton, all their real estate stuff and land rover crap

yea teh reason tickets prices are so expensive is that people actaully are willing to pay for them...once people stop gonig the prices will drop...

The resorts arent making much money. Stock prices have dropped and all they can do to make more money is sell real estate. Intrawest, American skiing company and Vail resorts all owe huge sums of money to investors and what not, they have to make that money back.
