Fuck you society.

Seriously.

For those who havn't heard, a man was killed in the Vancouver airport a few weeks ago by Vancouver City Police. The man was going nuts and stuff and threatening people and was resisting arrest. The police ended up having to tazer him and he died from their tazers. Now this isn't exactly were my negativity is coming from, it's the fact that theer was someone who filmed the tazering on their cell phone, and after much controversy, somehow the video has been released to the public. This discusts me. Whoever filmed it and insisted on making the video public should rot in hell. The next big fuck you goes out to society. Why have we let this happen? Why are we allowing videos of people actually getting killed? It all discusts me.

disgusts.

but yeah, i dunno...a video of someone getting tasered to death...is it really any worse than pictures of dead bodies who have been shot and shit right on the news? i agree though...its not the kind of thing people should see...its just disrespectful no matter who was killed.

I'm glad someone filmed it. What if no one took pictures of holocaust victims? There is alot of shit in the world that sucks but the first step in fixing it is acknowledging there is a problem. Problems don't go away by ignoring them, trust me.

You're a moron. The video was taken because he was flipping out. The fact that they caught it on tape has made this a public issue and now there is a significant investigation going on into the use of tasers by the police so that this never happens again. Most importantly, you're a moron because...

THE VIDEO WAS ONLY RELEASED WHEN THE VICTIM'S MOTHER APPROVED ITS RELEASE.

and after the guy was rolling on the ground screaming the cop jumped on him and pressed his head into the ground with his knee

ya there are some things that the public doesnt need to know or see. A perfect example of this is 2 firemen who died the other month. It was all over the news that after the autopsy(sp.) it was determined that one was high on heroin and the other was drunk adn because of that the families dont recieve any of the benefits from their insurance or w/e. Is it necessary to humiliate these families like that? I know  one of the families actually at it was just an awful experience.

no, the dude was polish and he threw a chair because nobody could understand him. He didn't understand English, he just wanted attention.

The dad of one of the people that goes to my school is the family's lawyer.

For some reason it won't let me quote Max's post so:

Word dude, fuck that shit. I'm sure they were more often than not good

people. And the news always seems to think drunk is an alcohol content

of like .09

no respect for the guy who died. if someone is killed in the video, you don't make it public, end of story. no need to make it public, even if the guy didn't die. ridiculous.

this site is boring as hell now that there's about 500 mods. anything slightly entertaining is deleted without hesitation and funny aliases are no more.

Honestly, how is it any differant than the decades of war coverage? Videos of peoples limbs blown off, people actually getting shot... I think you are one of the people who is all politically correct and shit. How about all the videos on shows like Cops, or Americas Most Wanted. Or other shows on the History Channel and such. How about 9/11 on the news, or other bombings. What about the execution of Timothy McVay (sp?) on LIVE TV. Get over it dude....

Reiterating the fact that the OP is in fact, a moron.

Did you even watch the video? The man wasn't resisting arrest at all. The video exposed the use of excessive force which would have been otherwise overlooked.

i want to know what that cop was doing at 7:12 with his club. last time i saw that technique it was a native griding up wheat into flour.

^ no its true. i speak Farsi. he told me that while he was holding me hostage in the us embassy in tehran. he wore his beard differently back then.

thats a very slippery slope. its extremely important that instances of opression, injustice, and police brutality be documented and made public so that those involved can be brought to justice and preventative measures can be put in place. you can take issue with many peoples sick fascination with watching suffering and death, but the video itself is important and necessary regardless of whether your interest in it is legal or voyeuristic.

1) The guys mom let them release it

2) it was shown on the news... so the guy filiming it didn't just throw it up there

3) He wasn't resisting arrest or anything, he didn't know how to speak english

4) there were att least three cops surrounding this one guy, they could have easily overpowered him

5) there is no need to taser someone two times, it might have even been three... you'll be down after the first

6) people need to see what police do, without this tape, they could easily have denied allegations

7) you're a fucking moron

someones havin a shitty day hunh?

soldiers, civilians, homeless, rich, poor, etc die everyday and you hear about it on the news or in the paper..

go smoke some weed and chill the fuck out...

This video needed to be shown. If not, the RCMP would have gotten away with what they did. And they absolutely should not. 4 Officers within 20 seconds of arriving on the scene tasered a man TWICE who was NOT resisting arrest and was fairly calm. The cops were told the man did not speak a word of English, but none the less, threatened the man in English then when they did not get an answer tasered him. After, the piled on top of him, restricting his breathing (something you can't do when you've tasered someone cause they need to breathe faster to keep up with their rapidly beating heart) no doubt causing his death. The fact that the man was exhausted and stressed obviously did not help the situation.

The RCMP issued a statement a month ago when the happened that is totally contradicted by what is shown in this video and weren't even going to release the video until the witness who taped it threatned to sue. He was disgusted with the fact that the RCMP blatenly lied about what happened. Hopefully because of this there will be a proper full investigation and heads will roll.

You should probably just change your name to WTFPWN3D! Fo realz, you basically level anyone you choose at your whimsy

cops really scare me. I am not a "fuck you pig" kind of guy, but its gotten to the point that respect of police power has been instilled by our parents/society from the time we can talk. As a result of that, it seems as if police can do whatever the fuck they want. that really..really scares me.

So you're saying that people shouldn't document anything? Who are we to say what can and cannot be censored? I think if somebody wants to film it, they should be allowed to, and if they want to post it on the internet, so be it. It's their right. Humans have the right to find out what they want, and because of the internet, this is easier than ever. We are living in the age of technology, and I think there should be NO restrictions of social dogma on ANY form of media.

I just read this thing on current, it said that in France, they just passed a law that would make it technically illegal to film anything that involved people getting beat/hurt. Be it from police, or other people in riots. Hows that for censorship?

yeah hagrid you fucking pussy dumbass

IF YOU WERE TASERED TO DEATH BY COPS AND SOMEONE VIDEOTAPED IT WOULDNT YOU WANT EVERYBODY TO SEE THE VIDEO SO THAT YOU WOULDNT HAVE DIED IN VAIN?

or would you rather have the fucking cops get away with it scott free?
