This place is a pile, and I protest any skier to buy a pass there next year! Dumbass people manage the place and an old guy that has no clue what he is doing runs the park. I've done my best to help with the shit hole.

Wilmot will be wilmot. They care about money, money and more money. Its been like that since I worked there in 2001. Tim the park manager, well he needs a lot of advising.
 
I worked there for 3 years building park with tim. the first year wasn't the greatest was like pulling teeth for them to let me come out and work and they gave me such a short amount of time in the cat that all i had time to do was fix everything from that day was never any time to rebuild or build anything new. 2nd year I had a set schedule of when I worked which helped but it was the same time never enough time at night to get enough done. the 3rd year went good for a bit but then didn't go the best.

Wilmot is what you make of it. I like it most of the time cause the terrian is different not just 3 steep runs like Alpine Valley. I also worked in ski school there which was a good time.

I also think that park was decent the couple times I was out there this winter. Alpine sure wasn't any better.
 
Yeah I've been talking to Tim since I was a little guy and he started to listen to me last year and this year, but he just doesn't have any drive anymore to do anything. He will tell you he cares but it's a lie. I have to argue with him about if a feature is setup right, and he just tells me it's an advanced feature, but that doesn't mean you set it up sketchily haha. I have honestly tried so hard with everything, but there is only so much progression you can get out of that place. Now that the tubing hill is up, there won't be any focus on that park for a few years. It has potential, but it needs new employees that actually can ride the park well. And I agree with you that they never give you anytime to do anything with it, Dennis the owner doesn't give a shit about the park and he would actually rather not have it there. Hopefully people move on then I'm done with college and little shredders can enjoy the place
 
Dennis did tell me I could work as much as I wanted with Tim when I was there and he was aware of the conflict with the garage and cat time. which the whole Garage thing did get better after awhile.

Pulled my pass for "Vulgar language use" on they're facebook page which was untrue.

Tim stopped lift and got bitched at for tranny finding instead of warning us like a normal person.

Park sucks.

I have been "harassing liftys"

Won comp there last year 100 dollars to Munson and they lost the money?

Can't sit inside unless your purchasing food.

atleast there are options in this area of where to go skiing. Wilmot, Grand Geneva (mountain top), Alpine, Rag Buf, Crystal Ridge, Sunburst, and on and on and on.

 
you are the first person to ever mention Crystal Ridge on here. I would never go there but i live so close i have to good thing im getting a pass to burst next year
 
well it is there and it is a option and it's cheaper then all those other places. I guess if I was trying to teach a friend or someone how to ski or snowboard I might go there being that it is cheaper in price then all the other places. around here.
 
alpine valley has been pretty good lately i suggest that you guys come out here. and when it come to grand geneva.. dont even bother coming to that shit hole if you do any sort of flip cork biospin rodeo misty they will take your ticket and rip it in to peices and the rails are all shit ride on. ive never been to wilmont.. shit i didnt even know that they had a park but im sure it sucks from reading all the shit above. but like i said it would be cooler to have more parks skiers out at alpine because theres not a good snowboarder to skier ratio so that means the lips of the rail get fucked up FAST
 
should venture out to other places even if you think they may suck never know you may like it alot when other people say it sucks. I personal like all the different runs at wilmot over alpine or grand.
 
Wilmot has the best skiing around in terms of Burst, Alpine, GG and crystal. A little head wall, moguls, skier cross, 'steep' runs, not to mention the hidden BC if you get a good dump.
 
who are you? ahah. i know, odd question, but i pretty much know anyone involved with the park at wilmot.
 
the owners of wilmot have alienated everyone in the community. they are terrible people and should sell the mountain.

a family friend looked into buying it last time they were short on cash and the asking price was too ridiculous.

you all should move out west. those things don't happen out here.

 
From what i hear Dennis went to Europe to look at "machinery" at ski resorts and someone ran into him on skis and he tore both his acls.
 
As long as you can hit a flat down rail, an urban donkey, and an urban DFD the snowboarders at buff couldn't give less of a fuck about you. Just as long as you throw some shit the skiers there are either really cool or just leave you alone.
