what the fuck is happening. if the USA goes to war against Iraq, the world as we know it is gonna come crashing down. I don't even understand why the US people are allowing there President to drag them into hell. Some girl in my class today said the war was justified because they were going over to fight for freedom. I laughed, but I realized she was dead serious and wanted to throw my book at the back of her head. Who felt Saddam was threatening them when the US announced war. I can tell you I was shivering in my boots. I thought for sure Sadamwas gonna drop some chemical on my house, thank god for the US for protecting me. FUCK THE US AND FUCK THE BRITISH. Bush needs to take care of his alcoholic daughters or maybe the US's drowning economy before he decides to start a world war. Saddam has alerted all muslims to fight against the US and its supporters, so we can expect blowen up buses and destroyed subways on a weekly occasion. The reason i'm pissed, is that I am just graduating highschool, I want to go travelling and no where is safe. Oh yeah and we can also expect the UN to dissolve and for the next many years watch different countries stalk up weapons till we push the line to far and we all die. Lets all thank Bush for ruining our lives.

my opinion is extreme, but when the league of nations failed to work WW2 started. Now that the US is disobeying the global community and the UN whos to say this isn't gonna be WW3. The US has alot of enemies in the middle east. and alot of them feel threatened, by the US's attack on Iraq. This is no freedom fight, its all about OIL. Alot of those middle east countries have oil and there pretty fuckin scared there next. If you are relying on the US news for the full story your getting bullshit propaganda. Try to find a link to the news channel Algazira (sp) I watched it in Social and it showed some pretty crazy pictures of the US bombing hospitals and public places in Afganistan. It also has interviews with othwer countries and basically paints an entirley different picture than the news we get here in Canada and the US.

Almost all of you have been brain washed on these issues.{that's the mainstream media doin' it's job}It's about money=oil.Approx. 1.5 years ago, Iraq changed it's oil currency from USdollars to Euro$.You see, when USdollar is the oil currency,the US just printed shitloads,shitloads, of cash to pay for the oil..so...more or less...it was FREE...but..the US can't print Euros..they have to borrow or buy it...So now they have to pay a MASSIVE amount of money to Iraq for oil. The US dollar has been going down and the Euro has been going up = US losing in %'s and intrest. + To top it all off , the US government is broke. I think the defecit is 6,500,000,000,000,000= six trillion,five hundred billion dollars That's fuckin' unreal...US has lost most of is manufacturing to other nations{k2}.So americans had to buy more and more products once made in the USA from companies in other nations.This has created the present day $1.5 BILLION a DAY trade deficit..The US goverment has found itself soooo deep in debt it can't even make the intrest payments......unable to sell products to generate revenue to pay that debt because manufacturing was taxed into relocating,and a threatened collapse of the dollar that would force defalt on the debt and ruin the standard of living Americans had worked so hard to achieve.

From that perspective,a war of conquest to grab oil and to force the conquered nations to use the US dollar to keep demand for the dollar high.....sadly....that looks like the best option for the bankrupted US government........it sucks.

This whole ordeal is not based around oil. Some of it is most likely linked to oil BUT NOT ALL. The fact is Saddam is a brutally cruel dictator. The things that he does to his people, are unbelievable. He has built forts, and artillery sheds next to schools and hospitals, so when the US bombs them strategically he can claim civilian casualties. He has ordered 10,000 or so british and us army uniforms, so he can dress his soldiers up looking like us and video tape them slaughtering HIS OWN PEOPLE, while conveniently being filmed by the biased arab press. Not to mention he uses people from all over the world, ie Europe, US, and probably Canada, as human shields. This type of thing would never have been stood for in the past. Were talking close to the same league as Slobadan Milosavic, and Pol Pot. Not quite genocide, but he is ready and willing to slaughter his own people. This is just one part though. The nuclear and biochemical is a whole other story. Saddam has been given 12 freakin years since the end of Desert Storm to disarm COMPLETELY. Has he? NO! He still has Scuds left over which can and will be used to spread bio chem weapons to Israel in the event of attack. We and the UN have given him extension upon extension for him to disarm and he continues to disobey. Another part: his link to terrorism. Less we forget that he has been linked to Al Qaeda and various other organizations involved with terrorism all over the world not just on the US. That right there is enough to go in there and disarm. Oil probably also has to do with it somewhat but it is not the overlying theme for which the United States wants to invade Iraq. This is true b/c if we do in fact invade Iraq, and win which we almost certainly will, Saddam has been stockpiling explosives all over his oil wells. When he goes down so will all the oil, all 1500 wells, compared to the 700 we had to put out in Kuwait. This guy is not a just ruler, the things that he is doing, aren't right and should be corrected, most measured have been exhausted invading is the only thing left.

My apologies to Phatttim for misreading his post. As for whatever else has been written since I last posted, I really don't feel like arguing with people who don't realize that their 'facts' come from some of the most biased, partisan news sources in the world. But I will state this again, because I think it's important to remember: Iraq had NOTHING to do with the terrible terrorist attacks on September 11th. NOTHING. Any American who uses those attacks as justification for war with Iraq is not only wrong, but is desecrating the memories of that horrible day. If you're one of those Americans, you should be ashamed of yourself.
