FUCK THE HOE-LICE. 16 Year old taserd 19 TIMES, after sustaining broken back. AFTER.

shit tasers are horrible things! yet at the same time can be quite funny! but not in this case, dont get me wrong out of order

I cant blame the cops yet. This is only one side of the story and yes it does seem harsh but what happened and what was told could of been different.

"does seem harsh"? uh, dude, people die being tasered once.

now i dunno how logical you think.... but uh, this is 19 times. lol

i like how the cop said they didnt want him getting hurt. Good thing they taserd him 19 times with a broken back or else he could have gotten hurt.

Still not taking sides but how do you know if 19 times was just made up cuz the kid was pissed and was maybe tasered once.

i can picture this all now.

the cops roll up with like 4 squad units...

son, what are you doing?!

alright boy, get up and put your hands behind your back!

officer, i can't i just fell from that fucking bridge.

rook, this is a classic case of a juvenile. i'll say it one more time boy, get up and hands behind your back!

farva, taze this punk.

i'll fucking shoot all you cops you bastards. i will kill you all.

alright rook, your turn to try out this bad boy. don't be shy now, just don't exceed 20 tazes.

anyways in all seriousness, that is just fucking insane. i don't care what the other side of the story is, you do not in any way need to taze a 16 year old boy 19 times. i'm pretty sure the president needs to pardon this kid and let him painfully kill everyone of those cops.

story doesn't add up......

1. They down played the falling off the bridge thing quite a bit. Who falls off bridges onto highways!? The family is clearly hiding that the kid was suicidal. He jumped off that bridge. I don't know anyone that just falls off of high traffic bridges. Being on drugs does not mean you will kill yourself, was this a anti drug ad?

2. The fact that he didn't flag someone down to help him is a huge indicator that this wasn't an accident. if I had a broken back acidentally, I would certainly take any help I could get by flagging people down. You rarely act angry to someone who is trying to help you when you're in pain, unless you don't want help. Missing my whole heel would certainly tell me I needed to find some help.

3. Tasered 19 times? Bull shit. An officer could taser someone once and handcuff them. Cops don't sign up to beat up on kids, in fact they try to prevent that. The cops are just nudging the allegations off because they know what really happened.

4. Whoever said "its on the news so it must be true" is a fucking moron. How many incorrect articles are in your newspaper and new programs. They are consistently correcting stories, they just don't advertise the corrections on the front page or during the primetime news hour.

5. MONEY. This family is looking to sue. High medical costs from an idiotic son, what a perfect motive.

Simply put, this kid wanted to die. He jumped off a bridge thinking he was made of glass and survived. Afterward he tried walking and was probably comtemplating how close he just came to killing himself. Angred that he didn't suceed, the boy tried to piss off the cops and hopefully get shot. Once shot, his death would be a sad loss the world would have to hear about. The kid didn't get shot, so he is instead getting the pity he needs by making the cops the bad guys.

That's my theory....read the report and think about what makes sense to you.

ps: You're crying about someone being tasered. We've made progress, at least the kid wasn't shot like he would've been 10 years ago for fuckign with the cops.

pps: To the guy that made this thread. This story is a perfect example of our American Ideals.(sarcasm) I can't tell you how many times I walk down my street and see cops tasering kids for fun. I'm just surprised this one made it to the news! The kid's family must've been a political mogul or extremely rich. GOD BLESS AMURICA!

Police Tasers have microchips in the guns. The chips record the exact time the gun is fired, the voltage, etc. All they have to do is plug in the guns and they can get records of how many times the cops used the taser on said person. Chances are, that's how they got the number. Not what the kid said.

So if this is the case, what officer would be stupid enough to still fuck with a kid? Shit doesn't make any sense. You don't do something wrong if you're assured of being caught, even if you're a cop.

he was definitely tasered 19 times. i didn't know about glrunner's statement but i'd imagine it's true. and even if it wasn't they leave holes in your body so i'm sure they could find out. i'm sorry but please tell me what can possible cause you to taser somebody 19 times? you might as well just shoot them.

and i don't know about you but if i had a broken back, i don't think i would be able to move at all. and after i figured out i couldn't move or had a broken back i sure as fuck wouldn't try to move a muscle.

i will agree that the story doesn't add up and he probably did try to commit suicide though. there is no other way to just "fall" off of a bridge.

that still does not in the least justify the cops tasing this kid 19 fucking times. i'd rather be shot and killed than get tased 19 times.

do you know anything about Tasers? it's extremely easy to see how many times one has been fired and how many times it has connected. You know nothing about cops, sure there are a lot of good ones, but there are also a hell of a lot of bad ones out there. It's a bully's dream job.

bully's dream job.....come on man. how old are you? shit sounds like you read that out of a book or hear dit from your parents at a dinner table when they were angry about getting a ticket. the cops are awesome to me everytime i run into them. they handle situations fine. i don't know where you live, but here in colorado the cops are pretty tight. some have attitudes, but everyone has an unique attitude of their own. sorry i'm just not going to hop on the "cops are in the business to fuck you for fun" bandwagon.

tasers, i don't know anything about them. I'm just saying 19 seems fabricated, would you even be able to talk after 4-5?

sorry kid but those are my thoughts.....this story can't be true. i guess only time will tell. but remember innocent until proven guilty.

he was obviously tripping out on something or just really drunk. like the thing says, he was threatening the cops and saying that hes gonna shoot them. plus why is he walking on a busy overpass in the first place?

that's just what the cops said. besides, if i had just broken my back and heel, and some cops came over and told me to do something, i'd want to shoot them too.

Let me tell you how a taser works: 2 needles are show out of the gun, representing positive and negative electrodes. Each of these needles break the skin, causing an electric current to run between them, instantly contracting the muscles. On a pain scale, its a 10.

Now, if this kid was lying on the underpass, even if it wasn't an accident, he still had a broken back, detached ankle, and a broken foot. Even if he couldn't flag down a passing vehicle, the pain from the broke back and foot, coupled with the blood loss would have made it extremely painful, and would've made him incoherent simply from blood loss and pain.

An educated cop would've come across a kid and noticed he was acting strangely. Now, this is not enough to actually pull out a taser. First off, he wasn't moving. Second, he was incoherent from pain Any self respecting cop would've called an ambulance first off, then asked questions.

The magnitude of 19 tasers to the body is usually reserved for criminals with knives and guns, or angry and violent drunks, but not a kid lying on the ground. It doesn' add up on the cop's part. The fact that it was an accidental fall or a suicide is irrelevant. 19 tases is completely excessive for the situation, and the fact that the cops couldn't tell the difference between a kid with a broken back and a relative threat shows either how eager they are, or how unskilled and stupid they are.

my parents don't get tickets...and i know a lot of good cops. i've also met some bad ones though. i'm just saying that you can't put blind faith in everyone just because of their job title.

you can't fabricate Taser shots. and your innocent until proven guilty comment goes for both sides of the story.

police are actually not allowed to fire more than two Tasers at one target within the space of 5 minutes. so, 19 Tasers is usually reserved for violent people who just won't give up after 20 or so minutes of being Tasered repeatedly.

and that's why you would be tasered. I'd tell them I fell off the bridge and wanted them to call me an ambulance because I'm fucked up. Then they would follow procedure and not move you until you had a C-Neck on. Cops are required to follow rules, whether you like to admit it or not. Also as a citizen you are required to comply to the cops orders. Sadly, you clearly don't understand your role in the interaction. you're just a fucking 13 year old kid who hates the police, just wait until they help you out one day (let you off a ticket, stop someone from stomping you, find your kidnapped child).

and im spent on this thread.

i'm not 13...and i like most police...three cops once saved my life. then again, i also had a police officer knee me in the crotch and smash my nose into a wall for telling him i didn't smoke weed (which i didn't at the time).

Then they musta just been using him for target practice. I'm surprised his heart didn't shut down completely.

yo fuck all this, why is this kid there in the first place, who just casually falls off a bridge with a guard rail.....and he was screaming shoot cops, kills cops? wat the fuck is wrong with the kid, not the cops

One big misconception in this thread is the severity of his injuries. I fell a couple of weeks ago and broke my back. Ya it hurt, but I could still walk and move around. It wasn't a bad break, but be that as it may, I still broke vertebrae. He may have broke some bones but that doesn't mean he was passed out from the pain and couldn't move.

He fell 30ft....its not his fault that the cops are dumb as shit, you think the cops are gonna stop just cause he said it noo...Cops abuse their power all over, everybody knows it..their..

Yeah, but he also broke his foot and detached his heel. Its not like he could present a threat unless he was hopping on one foot. Which he wasn't. He was on the ground. Incoherent.

Where did it say he had a detached heel and that he was incoherent? Not saying you're lying I just didn't see it in the original news story.

Regardless, ya getting tasered 19 times is fucked up and there is no excuse for that. I'm curious to see what the other side of the story is though. I may hate some cops, but I have had a few that have given me the luckiest breaks in my life.

It says it in the news report video at the bottom of the article. The cops ony replied that he was making threatening statements as their excuse. Its fucked.

It said that his heel was broken off when they listed the injuries he suffered.

Until I know more of this story, I can't form any conclusions. So I'm just going to leave it at: Sympathy for the kids family.

Yeah i don't buy the whole sympathy news story about a child with a broken back being taserd 19 times. Police, despite what many believe, generally aren't stupid and will act upon what they've been trained to do, punk probaly deserved it.

oh and cool observation hansel to the guy with the awesome avatar

Police, despite what believe, are not all textbook saints. There's corruption in every facet of society.
I'm not forming any conclusions yet, because this story seems too fucked up to actually come to any reasonable conclusions. I think what needs to be answered first is how he ended up on the pavement 30 ft below the overpass.

ridiculous. maybe the kid was suicidal but of course the cops reallly shouldnt have done that. there are good cops, and there are bad cops. ive come in contact with some power-hungry cops who just want to take advantage because they are police. this kid shouldnt have been tasered. AT ALL. could they not see he had horrible injuries? i could understand why the kid would say "im gonna shoot you, your all gonna die" type thing , when you just hurt yourself that badly why would you want cops fucking with you? maybe he was suicidal, but my number one point is that the cops that were there were absolute dumbasses. they werent doing anything right in that situation.

cops can be legit for sure, today i saw this really drunk guy driving down the road and i called the cops and he swerved into two cars while i was following him and the cops pulled him over and couldve saved a life.

sure, ive meet some nice cops in colorado, no doubt but still i was out with friends 1 min after curfew and i got fined and driven home. 1 min after curfew. first of all, curfew is bullshit and its a 250$ fine.

Kinda ironic you saying im not thinking logically but what you just said means the cops would of shot him with 19 different tasers. Cuz im sure they had the time to shoot him reset the taser and do it again 19 times.

Thank-you! That makes a lot more logic than what others are saying. Still not taking sides since i wasnt there.

cops have to pass strict tests to use a taser also. In many states, if you want to get certified to use the less than lethal weapons, you have to have it used on you. Example of this is when my own father was learning to use crowd control bean bag shotguns, he had to get shot with one.

The kid was probably moving a bit and probably struggling, contrary to what the police would most likely tell him to do. To restrain him, they tased him. If they stopped and he continued, he got it again. If you get tased more than once, its your own fault.

Now that i think of it, i wonder if anyone thought that maybe him moving could worsen his injuries and the taser stopped his motion? I doubt it, but you never know i suppose

Tasers don't immobilize people. It is possible to stand or crawl while being shocked with 10,000 volts of electricity coursing throughout your body, believe it or not. Although it might be a tiny bit tougher to move when your back and heel are broken.

im with mercer on this one. something sounds a little off here.

let's again review:

- kid mysteriously falls 30ft off an overpass

- why was he on the overpass to begin with?

- you don't just fall over a guard rail

- kid ended up with a broken back but he was a threat

- when anyone is yelling "shoot cops, kill cops" that is a perceived threat to police giving them authority to use force. kind of like walking through an airport saying you've got a bomb

- contrary to popular belief, you can still move with a broken back. shit i walked down a ski hill with my snowboard after breaking my back

- missouri police fucking with a white kid?

- c'mon, that shit makes no sense whatsoever

i know most of you kids are about 15 years old and are full of that "fuck the man" mentality that skate/hip hop culture is telling you but in reality, corrupt cops are few and far between. even then, wouldn't they mainly be shaking down drug dealers for money and not just going around and arbitrarily committing acts of assault that will undoubtedly make the news and lose them their jobs?

What a fucked up story.

I think tasers should only be used when lethal force is necessary/indicated. It would bring down the amount of times they are used DRASTICALLY.

For anyone out there that's ever broken there back, it can cause mind numbing pain to even flinch 1 CM, the thought of getting tasered and having your muscles go into uncontrollable spasms. Guaranteed that person will be heavily injured for the rest of there lives physically and emotionally.

Really that's just awful story. I hope the officer loses his badge for such a misjudgement of force.
