You're forgetting about the 10 minutes of rewinding on the VHS after the asshole that rented it last didnt rewind it.
 
everything was better in the past! payphones, slide rules, having no internet with which to complain about the present, and my personal favorite was watching poor quality recorded programs on an impossibly complex VCR...on my non-HD TV.

The ultimate proof that the past isn't so different from the present, nor future (at least in music) is that despite all the great music that came out in 1969...the #1 song of the year was...........Sugar Sugar, by archies. Bear in mind that this is the same year that come together, and get back, by the beatles came out. So no, shit music is not a modern phenomenon. You just need a few decades to filter out the bad stuff.
 
This is dildos - it does not take my xbox 360 10 minutes to play more like 10 seconds. Also the 80's/90's had CDs ipods are so much more amazing. Remember when you had to lug a fat book of CDs everywhere you went fuck that.
 
...Just thought the pic was kinda funny and worth posting, sheesh. But I will say looooottttts of kids deal with the "red ring of death" or whatever the hell, where as a super nintendeo fail was as simple as blow the dust out the bottom of the game, boom done.
I pretty much enjoy everything else in our present...so don't worry I'm not on crack ns.
