Fuck the east coast

for a number of reasons.

1. weather - fucking sucks. right now its 'torrential downpours and damaging winds' . its hot and humid one day and the next its thunderstorms like this. i understand why but it sucks, because i dont like any of that weather. and in the winter its sometimes deathly cold.
2. skiing - sucks. at least where i am. /end sentence.
3. everything - everything sucks ( i love that sticker)

contribute some reasons why the east coast sucks. the only pros i can find is that its where my friends are, and i like swimming in the fresh water (lakes, bays, etc)

p.s. i am in canada. ontario to be exact. fuck it.

the east coast sucks because it rains so much in the summer but instead of snowing in the winter it just rains some more!!!

But honetly i cant hate too much. i love it here in PA i grew up here and have formed and attachment to my home mountain. it just sucks that the winters are so mild!

yea i know the average humidity in the summer where i live is like 80%. it makes 85 degrees feel like 100....

i will say that people are just simply harder to deal with here as well- the term " more laid back in the west" is def tru from working in colorado at high end resort and working in vermont at a high end resort- the difference is HUGE. im moving to colorado or california for good.

Because in the east coast, the mountains are much more accesible to the main cities, so a lot of douchebags come and act all douchey all over.

but also, the mountains are smaller so everyone in the park pretty much knows eachother and all friends

Fuck the hatin on the East Coast. love it here, lived my whole life here. coulda gone to college out west if i wanted and rode alot, but stayin here on EC up in NH and shred with the diehards.

couldnt agree more, after skiing in pa all my life it just makes me appreciate good skiing when i go elsewhere

i hate how everyone tries to get along with this peace coast shenanigans. we're thug skiers, this isn't friend land, its every nigga for themselves out there. so, FUCK PEACE COAST, cuz i hate the east coast.

bingoooo

how about we look at the pros?

as far as weather goes, i sure as hell enjoy not having wildfires in my area.

and how about earthquakes? i've experienced one earthquake, and it was tiny.

now, of course the skiing isn't as good, but i feel like we're the kenyans of skiing. you ever notice how those kenyans and ethiopians always win marathons? that's because they grew up running without shoes from guerilla armies. the analogy is that when you learn switch cork 9s landing on ice, that makes it all the more easier to do them landing on nice groomed west coast snow

agreed.....you spend tons of seasons in the east and you become tough as fuck. I went to hood, hit the park and cased the landing. Just felt like i was falling in a slushy soft pellow. You case on the east you don't get up right away.

Plus the cold is fuckall, go to northern ontario. Ive gone skiing in -50,-60.

You can't complain about -20 then.

yo i love the east so much, topical in the summer and nice and cold with decent amount of snow in the winter and an ocean!!i like the scenery too.

FUCK YOU BITCH...the east coast to me=VT/NH...u can shut the fuck up u damn canuck (no offense to any canadians who arent retarded) i live in VT and yes sometimes the conditions do suck but then we get a Nor'easter and it's all good...i mean because of our conditions we get some good park time :)....so go hide in a hole and die...or else MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE

End Rant

hate to break it to you, but you do not live on the east coast. the

east coast consists of the states in the u.s that are close to the

atlantic ocean and also quebec when talking about skiing. if ontario

was in the u.s, you would be in the midwest. so in conclusion, you

should say, fuck the midwest, fuck the canadian midwest, or fuck ontario.

dont generalize. the north east does have a lot of stuck up people. i live farther down south and the people are more chill. people up north are just pissed because they dont have winters or summers.

word. pa is such a bitch though. i am headed somewhere like utah or colorado or washington or something with good skiing for college.

I love East Coast.

I have never been to ski anywhere but at my local mountains (i live in Quebec, so Avila.....) which are pretty small. Even if we don't receive a large amount of snow during our winter, the first snow is always a magic moment and with the very last heap of snow comes summer, which is a usually a difficult period of my life (there is no skiing :( ) so everytime I have the chance to ski I take it and I don't bitch about our slopes being icy or whatever, i'm just enjoying the moment.

I could say I love skiing so much it doesn't matter to me wheter east coast is nice or not.

So don't hate on East Coast

east coast isn't so bad. stop complaining. west coast is a lot nicer though, but i will always love the east.

I've lived in Taos, NM for the last 3 years, and I'm moving back to Wilmington, DE or Philly at the end of this month. Honestly, I thought I had skied my last day in the Poconos, but alas it isn't so. I'm bummed that I won't have access to the snow or terrain that I've been spoiled by here, but I'm attempting to stay positive. I'm thinking that my park skiing will improve dramatically...

Also, the east coast (95 corridor anyways) has infinitely more access to art, culture, music, etc. Plus, I haven't had a decent sub, cheesesteak, slice, wing, or bagel since I've been out this way. There is a ton of outdoorsy activities out here, but I miss the city and connectedness back east.

Undoubtedly, the west is more laid back...it's truly a double edged sword however. If you live on the east, you're spoiled by the fact that business competition is fierce. If someone won't perform a service cheaply and proficiently, someone else will. Out here it's the "land of tomorrow", a.k.a. everyone works at their own pace.....typically excruciatingly slowly.

Someone from the Poconos tell me it's all going to be OK...my rationalizing is getting pathetic.

i love the west coast, so i guess...fuck the east coast, but not really i actually love visiting the east coast, and i love thunderstorms...soooooooo

but i wouldnt like to ski there as much.

haha I wouldn't know, never been to the ec but hoping to go check it out soon. Vt seems like a legit place for suure and I can't wait to visit NYC.

1. Amen

2. Amen

3. AMEN

I am in Toronto, and fucking thunderstorms this afternoon pissed me off. We already had a record breaking July for rain fall and now more, give us a fucking break already.

haha listen to this. my uncle lives in colo and came in march. after he bought the ticket, they handend him a rain vest and said you need it. it rained for an hour and we skied through it. yeah the east coast may be shitty. but its like bootcamp. your ready for anything and the rain was pretty epic.

yeah im just insanely pissed because of the rain and i got back from the west coast like two weeks ago and i absolutely love it there but im fine now . and the late winter last year SUCKED

It's all going to be OK. Friend me and shoot me a PM everytime your headed up to the pocahoes. I'm about an hour north of philly and frequently hit most of the pocono mtns here and there.

welcome back to the land of the cheesesteak and gapers.

1. i live in connecticut on the water (rarely do we get an inch of snow in one storm)

2. i ski on a 500ft high bump

3. i love it

ive only been out west once, but i gotta say, i do love the east coast. while we may have worse weather and more ice, you appreciate it that much more on a good powder day. we make do w/ what we have.

fuck Vail and fuck Aspen and fuck breck for your western douchebaggin. utah is where its at, also parts of colorado and cali. love the east, ski the east

yes, it is a well known fact that the east coast sucks. gotta work with what were given though, or you could move...

!) - the sex is better on the east coast, since the day starts 3 hours ahead of the west coast, we get morning sex three hours earlier

!) - then morning toke

!) - then dope breakfast places that make the best sausage egg and cheeses

!) - if u can lace tight trees and land the pipe on ice, everything becomes ur bitch

!) - montreal is close to boston, boston is close to new york, you've got pretty much the sickest three day party weekend

!) - green mountain coffee

!) - the breweries

!) - eric 'i'm as mellow as a tweaker-pad' pollard isn't from here (but he does ski for line, which is east coast, boooooo)

I started skiing out east...jeans and NYG pull over starter jackets are just comforts of home....besides...out here they wear fucking cowboy hats and neoprene leggings.

Thanks for the reassurance, I'll definitely drop you a line.

its been said "If you can ski tha east coast, you can ski anywhere"

remember that nig's, an tha eastcoast is tha only place where a powder day will make you cream your onesy :]
