Personally, I think that it's hilarious.
 
if the sophmore is better than him then it's reasonable that he gets to play more. if not tho, fuck the coaches
 
Being from Minnesota I know the story for the most part because everybody was talking about it.The sophomore started over him all year, because he was better but they finally put him in for the first time on senior night. I would have done the exact same thing. But hilarious none the less.
 
When I was a senior in high school on the soccer team the coaches cut our senior keeper because there was a junior keeper that was better than him and another junior keeper to back him up. When they cut him he turned around, pulled his pants down, bent over and mooned all of the coaches. It was an epic moment.
 
Ya I'm pretty sure he didn't even get to start on senior night either, and that's what pissed him off the most.

Also at this point the game was 2-1 so he tied up the game.
 
Dude...yes. I had a coach like that. Fucked me out of playing soccer my senior year. Wish I could have done that my last game playing.
 
It was senior night, and usually no matter what you always start seniors on senior night. He didn't get the start so he was pissed
 
Also he asked some of his teammates before the game if they were alright with him doing that, and they all said they were ok with it and thought it would be hilarious.
 
depends on how competitive the game is supposed to be and how likely players on the team are going to college. you can't coddle 17-18 year olds who are nearing adulthood when a season is on the line.

what the goalie did was a punk move. it's not even about disrespecting his coaches; it's about disrespecting his teammates. I don't care if the coaches are the biggest dicks in the world. you don't do that to your teammates, many of which should be close friends after four years of being on the same team. i would be heated if a goalie did that on a team i was playing on.
 
Read my post above yours, he asked his teammates for permission first and they approved. Also the team was sub .500, so it's not like the season was on the line.
 
Not really man it's high school sports. I was the best male ski racer on our team as a freshman, And my coach actually pulled me aside and told me "You should be our number one seed when we race, But I'm going to put you as number 3 so the two seniors and the captain can race before you" And I didn't really care. As a coach just have one game where you start the senior off first it's respectful. Plus it's high school sports who cares.
 
say what you want, but not a lot of people (who are slightly competitive) are ok with someone of perceived similar/lower quality starting infront of you.

i am non-competitive as fuck, but even i hated getting benched after a drop when i had similar yds, catches and TDs than all other WRs combined.

if he was doing that just cause he's butthurt that some younger kid is better than him then that's such a little bitch move.

As someone who was a goalie in hs hockey I understand where the kid is coming from. Many of the coaches are reliving their glory days and dont care about the kids. I played maybe 3 games total of 20 that season and I was pissed. I played so little and tried so hard to play it was pointless. I could play at that level as well and had the skills. But simply

Because there was one kid ahead of ne grade wise he played everygame for both jv teams. As a result of not playing my skills suffered immensely an when I did play I sucked....so props to this kid.

And trust me, with hockey the kids going to college or pro hockey are not playing at a high school level. Theyre on juniors or development teams

So...the kid sucked dick at hockey and rode the bench the whole year, then blamed his coach for not starting him? Fuck him. He shouldn't have even made the team.
 
Not to mention, by pulling that retarded stunt, he not only embarrassed himself, but I bet his family probably felt like shit too for having to watch their son act like a total jackass in front of the crowd. Fucking entitled little prick.
 
As fun as it is to have this fuck the coaches attitude the kid is way out of line and being a little bitch about it. This video really shows why his coaches didn't want to start this little girl.
 
No, he doesn't "deserve" anything. If he would have put in the effort to become a starter and EARNED his spot, then he wouldn't have needed to act like a little bitch in front of a crowd.

You kids are in for a RUDE awakening when you get out in the real world and realized that you don't "deserve" a damn thing. If you don't go out and earn it, you sure as hell don't have any right to anything.
 
Sorry for the long quote, on mobile. But as a goalie myself, there's kinda a cardinal rule that you don't cross, and he definitely did. I was treated like shit by my coach throughout high school (getting starts and being pulled for no reason after the first save to put a sophomore in) but you never score on yourself, you lose all class doing that. If this kid was trying to get back at the coach, keep it on a personal level, don't bring the team into it.
 
0% of players who disrespect their coach deserve a spot on the team. 0% of players who think they could do a better job than their coach actually could. 100% of players who think like you deserve the embarrassment that the kid in the OP will experience.

I'm still pretty blown away that you guys are supporting this kid. He embarrassed himself and disrespected his coach. I'm assuming that the coach is a volunteer? What a prick.
 
fuck yeah this is epic. i quit varsity baseball senior year halfway through the season because my coach total fuck. i was the only senior. fuck the system
