Meh, while I don't think Saga is shitty by any means, I don't think it's the greatest stuff out there either. I bought into the hype and got a Saga suit this year, and while it worked fine all season, it just wasn't on the same level as some older North Face, Oakley, or even Burton outerwear that I had. The material just felt very thin and flimsy to me. The jacket definitely held up better than the pants/was more waterproof though. After a long day of skiing, my ass was totally soaked through just from sitting on the snowy chairlift many times. The pants would also get little tiny rips in them in odd places like the back of my leg and my knee, like a half cm, which I've never had happen with any other pants I've owned. No idea where they came from, but at the end of the day I took off my pants a few times and was like wtf? As for the jacket, it looked sick, and kept me warm and dry, but the waterproofing definitely wore off in some places, especially around the cuffs and the bottom. I'll use my Saga until it's completely dead, so probably another 1-2 seasons, but then I'll probably go back to something like Orage, Oakley, or North Face. If this is a "major step up" from previous years' outerwear, I don't even want to know what it used to be like.
Just my $.02
