ok, so today was my first comp. so as were warming up im going hey, im the only person in my age group besides this little 9 year. NICE!. so i figure ill take the win. so im warming up and feeling good about my self, and so then the time comes for my first run. so i come down into a 25 foot table and do a big steezy 180 over it. so i land fine, BUT WAIT!! my ski comes off then the other one pops off too!!! so then im dq'ed for that run but later in the run i double eject again. so then the next run comes, same god damn thing happens next run. and at the end of the run i go to switch out of a box, i land perfectly, and the next thing i know im on my back with a ski by the landing. soo im thinking whatever at least i got to ski. so were back at the top of the course and i go to put a bottle of water off my tips into my freinds hands. the next thing i know, i ejected from popping a bottle into the air!!! so now i figure out tha if i jump and slap my tails on the ground i can double eject. so we start looking at the binding and my heel peices are way back, so rei cost me a win...and i lost to a 9 year old too

how did you not notice that? btw, theres a track, with slots. on the heelpeice, lift the tab at teh bottom up, and adjust it forward if you feel comfortable doing that, or bring it to any shop, they should be able to adjust it.

well that probably isnt REIs fault, because if they mounted them, they had to do a torque test, it wouldnt pass under such conditions.

wait.... you did a whole run.... and crashed on every trick.... without noticing that your binding was fucked up?.... oh well shit happens

salomon bindings r the best if u set the damn things right. its not the bindings' fault, its the people who dont take the 3 seconds it takes to set them up right. if ur not gonna learn how to do it right, u deserve to have them not work...

by the way, a shop will nto set it up the way u would want it for park, they will have hte forward presure all loose n stuff. u needa tighten things nad make them good. once u do, theyre hte best, and safest and just, best bindings.

yeah totally salomon bindings are good, you must be retarded to not have noticed how far back they were.

i disagree. if you eject landing switch, and catch your boot on the heelpiece, your entire binding will explode. the track shatters. ive done it like 3 times. theyre great bindings, for sure, but they need a better break design. although, they do have a 5 year warrentee

I like the thread name its like your a bit retarded and are ranting over being a gay ass fag, how do you not know if its REI or Salomon ? Obviously its REI because how many times to do you hear about salomon fuckin up, there a sick company and who do you trust the people making millions of products or some chach behind a table mountin your shit, if you can take your biznaz somewhere else playa

I will be taking my business to rossi/look for my next bindings but I agree with the general consensus, either you told them the wrong boot size, REI messed up mounting/adjusting or you gotta learn about this shit... I mounted my last pair of skis and do all my own forward pressure/din/toe piece adjustments, its not rocket science because if it was the mounting guy wouldn't have messed up the mount on my PEs...

i personally like my look bindings better, except i've been raped by the back of them before doing a frontflip. my salomons seem to just eject randomly. i've pulled them off in the air before doing mutes and such...

for short term (aka the rest of your runs that day) then get them adjusted properly

Um, one of if you took untried bindings to a comp your an idiot, secondly, if you didn't check that when you got them mounted your and idiot

uhh you bought salomon 810s. First of all those were made for light, non agressive guys or the average female skier. Those bindigns are not going to perform when your landing switch off of some tables. Secondly they are salomon. They are called the salomon surprise not for nothing. They always pre-release. You always have to crank the DIN up at least 3 past your regular settings with salomon. My experiences with salomon bindings have been crap so as you can see im slightly biased in my review. My salomons have prereleased, exploded, snapped, and just broke in every way possible.
