FUCK POLICE BRUTALITY

I'm living in India right now and every day there is gnarly police corruption and brutality, it's disgusting. Please, the pigs in your countries are like the greatest thing ever compared to some of the shit here. I'm not sure if I'm more scared of the crazy guy who might try and rob me or going to the police to tell them about said guy, it's sketch.

I'm listening to Leftover Crack right now, it was REALLY suiting for this thread.
 


umm yeah he probably would because people cant take the law into their own hands. where I live there is zero chance of this happening though. no one locks their doors at night. even if the cops did try to help, they wouldnt catch the guy. I got my mo-ped stolen from outside a gas station. it was a yellow moped, pretty recognizable right? reported it to the police, almost a year later they havent found it. its funny because you would think that a yellow moped wouldnt be too hard to spot around town. but to make things even better, I gave them a great tip to who probably did it.

the gas station attendant said that "a large colored man tried to start it, and then wheeled it down the road." thats funny because the wheel lock was on, so no one wheeled it anywhere. also, the nearest housing development was pretty far away. isnt it just too convenient that a redneck gas station attendant suggests a big black guy stole it? more likely, the fucking piece of shit called his buddy up and loaded into his truck. so I told them this, and I guarantee they didnt look into it.

oh, but the cops have better things to worry about, right? wrong. the cops busted me for possession a few months later. so they have no problem going through effort to fuck me over, but wouldnt lift a finger to help me recover a $1500 piece of property that was stolen.

there is seriously like 100 cases of cops hassling young people or busting them for pot possession for every one case where a cop actually does something good around here.

so tell me why exactly I should like cops, when all they do is try to give me a hard time for longboarding or pull me over and give me a ticket, and hopefully find some weed in my car? I'm a good driver and a more productive member of society than these fucking pigs could ever be, so what good are they accomplishing exactly? where I live, they certainly dont protect and serve.
 
you have effectively made yourself look like one of the biggest assholes on this site. that is one of the most ignorant and unbelievably absurd remarks i've ever heard, and i hereby would like to nominate your for the golden wheelchair for life. i'm not going to go any further with this because trying to convince you of your ignorance would be like trying to teach calculus to a chimp.

I think the main problem is that most halfway decent people pick a different occupation that police officer. I mean, if you're really into making a difference and helping your community, you probably run a food bank, or become a firefighter. If you're into whipping out your gun and yelling at people to, 'get on the ground', then you become a cop.

Lets be honest though, crime in this country happens every minute of the day. People are murdered, tons and tons of people are addicted to drugs, they rob and shoot people all the time. In the worst areas of our country, the police are little more than a rival gang among the chaos. But, what if we didn't have police? What would happen? I submit that, crime would eventually go down.

My first thought was that, shit would be completely out of control without law enforcement pistol whipping some mother fuckers every once in awhile to keep us in line. And that makes sense. But, most people don't break the law because they prefer order to chaos, not out of fear of the police. Conversely, most people that break the law do so for their own self interest, and while im sure they hope they won't get caught, it's obviously not much of a deterrent to crime.

So if you try to imagine a world without police, you think, well fuck why pay for my groceries, fuck this I'll just take em... So you walk out of Safeway with your shit until you get to the exit and the store owner shoots you in the leg and takes his shit back. This is the main point that I'm trying to make, the natural consequences of commiting crimes (ie someone killing you for breaking into their house) are replaced by law enforcement. So you're actually better off being a criminal when there are police to protect you than not. Think about the crime of rape, if it was up to the public, we would fuck people up in the worst ways we could think up every time a rape occured, until there were no more rapes. Or if some asshole beat up his wife all the time? he'd be dead too. It sounds brutal, but people that can't control themselves serve no purpose to society anyway, there's no practical reason for their existence.

I'm not saying this would magically work, and turn us all into a utopian dreamland, what I am saying is that eventually the people that pose serious risk to others around them would be weeded out, whereas in our current society they endlessly breed more future criminals, and we pay billions of dollars every year to pack more and more of them into jail. I mean its not pretty either way, but human nature is human nature, we worked together in harmony long before there were police telling us to do so.

do you know what the cop was doing with that baton/stick of some sort near the end when he looked like he was violently stabbing the ground or the victim? i am at a loss of understanding after watching him do so.
 
cops usually mean well. The problem is some of them abuse there athority. The only thing i have seen first hand is cops that speed like crazy without a call for help. They just want to run red lights or make an illigal right. They think they own the roads but they dont they have to abide by the speed limits as much as we "do"

 
i feel like it depends alot on where u live. i live in nermont and i havent experienced any police brutality, but city cops are straight assholes most of the time.
 
yeah that dude who got tasered had flown in to join his mother, who'd flown in a while ago... when he got to the airport, he didn't speak a word of english, so he couldn't find his way to his mom... after something like 8 hours or more, he was getting really pissed, and the worst he did was toss a computer against that glass, the THREE cops who could have easily got him under control by less violent means, just tased him, at least two times, its possible that it was three.... thats so fucking unnecessary. He died of heart complications or something.... they didn't even have to taser him the second time.
 
yeah that's what happened. A schoolmate of mine's father is the family's lawyer, they are going to win the case for sure.
 
That was a telescoping baton. It's a piece of riot gear. It has a really powerful spring in it so the only way to get it to fold back into place so he can put it back onto his belt is to do that (he was hitting the ground with it).
 
I think Ciggarettes and weed should be illegal. Why should the government allow people to buy drugs that harm them. Then america will just end up with more poor people addcited to substances. Then they're gunna demand more money to pay for there lives and more peopel will vote for socialist/liberal type stuff and we'll get closer and closer to a country with no freedom, no economic incentive, etc. For proof check out what happened to China when opium was introduced.
 
Alcohol is a drug too, btw. And taking away people's rights to buy buy cigarettes is restricting personal liberty, and to enforce the law you've proposed would require higher taxes. Seriously, before you say something that dumb, take a look a prohibition, and tell me how that worked out.
 
i really wnat to have some crowd contorl tactics for the future, i really think there will be lots of demonstrartions and shit ...and we will be tear gased and lasered and all this wierd shit, and i want a way to fight the cops back and not be killed for it....i mean they can shoot rubber bullets at us...can we shoot rubber bullets at them? no,

I'm not talkig about now....but in the future i think shit will get fucked. And i will want a good way to fight back.

and also it should be extremely illegal to go outside in a thunderstorm, because that would endanger your life
