FUCK POLICE BRUTALITY

Whats your guys opinions? A kid I some what know at my school got the shit beaten out of him by one of the security guards for just saying "how rude" and then him and another kid got arrested.

Keep in mind you're only hearing one side of the story there, I bet there's more to it.

Anyways, yeah, there's definitely some bad cops out there. Most of them are good, but it only takes one or two to ruin the reputation of all the others.

bad cops also never get punished, and the police force always protects bad cops from accusation even when they kill unarmed civs for fun

don't start with that shit. now we all hate cops who go on power trips and/or do shit like this, but do not say that you hate cops in general. i'm not going down that road.

because that happens? i'd like to see one proven situation where cops killed an unarmed citizen, or anyone for that matter, for fun. accidents where citizens are mistaken to be armed do not count.

ever been in the inner sections of pretty much any major U.S. city?

There are many bigoted cops. I've seen/heard from my buddies about some of my friends arrested, tasered, and beaten for no reason other than that they were loitering. There are definitely cops that do their duty, but there is the group who uses their authority in unfair manners.

of course there is a group of cops that ruin the name of cops everywhere, but the point is that they are the minority that get all the attention. i just don't like when people say they hate cops, when really they just hate a certain handful.

i remember they beat a black guy to death who was on pcp a few years ago and he wasnt even fighting

and cops shoot people all the time because they "think" the people have a gun. 3 black people got shot in dc just this year and none of them had guns

Yea, Police brutality is really horrific, but if you want to be taken seriously and possibly change things try not saying "FUCK" But if you just want to rant to no purpose go ahead.

There was a video on youtube a while ago about some kids who got arrested. It was National Go Skateboarding day, and these kids were skating on a sidewalk where I guess it was illegal. The kids had a bit of an attitude, and the cops ended up like throwing three of them to the ground in handcuffs, and kinda beating em. Anyone else see it?

yeah i remember seeing that on here awhile ago. now that cop was a total douche and you could tell he really had no clue what he was doing.

sort of like how in order to legalize weed we have to use diplomacy. Like we can just ask a bunch of old corrupt congress motherfuckers to turn their backs on the 10 million dollar bribes from camel and anheiser busch, and legalize weed.

or the kid in virginia who shot up the police station because his dad was arrested for having pot

things like that actually MAKE PEOPLE RECOGNIZE THAT SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE about these absurd fucking marijuana laws

diplomacy doesnt work

Let's put it this way: my city is PISSED about this after seeing that video. The shit is in the process of hitting the fan. The RCMP is not going to be able to make this one go away easily.

Of course there are a few bad cops, but generally the police are just trying to act ethically but are influenced by fear (as would almost anyone tasked with patrolling certain especially violent slums.) Most police brutality is just an unfortunate misunderstanding of both sides.

However, police who bust harmless parties are just hypocrites. People should be allowed to do what they want as long as they aren't harming anyone else.

Ok, you start talking like that and you lose any political power you might have had. You might be able to incite a few other like minded people into your 'revolution' but most people will look at you, and just say this is why pot needs to be illegal, look what it did to this kid, he is now just a senseless ranting idiot that is unable to form a strong argument. However if you come to the plate with a strong well laid out argument on why is should be legalized, you might be able to get many more people to side with you, and hopefully some that actually vote. Now you have legal power. The people of your state/district, control who gets elected from that state to congress. If you can get a large portion of your representative's constituency to write to him/her saying that they would like to see the legalization of weed. It is in the best interest of a congressman to vote to the favor of his/her constituency. If they don't they lose there jobs. Diplomacy does work. Spewing randoms out of a megaphone does not.

And yes martyrs are also great ways to bring attention to something. However a kid shooting up a station only provides martyrs for the side against the kid. What that incident says is if we let people use weed this is what there kids will end up like.

So in case you were wondering why weed has not been legalized yet try and actually think about these ideas, People have tried senseless verbal abuse on the laws and lawmakers, these actions tend not to get results.

Back to Police Brutality, This incident lends enormous emotional force behind imposing legal restrictions on police, and or better selection process of deciding whom becomes a police officer. It has created a martyr. This person who was killed in Vancouver becomes a rallying point for many enraged people. It lends emotions to the argument against police brutality. Not only will it serve as a rallying point but also provides strong evidence of the need for change. Now someone or a group of people can approach, the RCMP and say "look, unless there are radical changes in the training and selection of police officers as well as in the disciplining of officers who step over the line, we will see more incidents similar to this one." Now the RCMP will start to listen to this, they have to unless they want a city the size of Vancouver enraged at them. Believe me, an enraged, public is the last thing they a police force will want on there hands. However, you will not get the vast majority of the public up in arms against the police just by yelling "Fuck the Police" as much as you can. maybe a small minority, but not enough.

another reason why no one goes for the changes you yell at them about, for the most part you all just seem like a bunch of uneducated lazy but angry youths.

You have heard of NORML, yes? not exactly making much progress.

Course I don't care so much. As long as I still have a right to privacy I can get high anyway.

Laws...haha

ummm im not trying to be a dick but have you seriously not heard of situations like this? it seriously happens all the time. cops beat a man to death in cincinatti not too long ago. no one knows what happened to instigate the event, but there is tape of 5 police beating the unarmed man over 50 times with metal batons.

they then left the scene without giving him any medical attention or calling an ambulance. the man could have been violent, but the fact is they beat him to death and left him to die, and he was unarmed.

rodney king wasnt killed, but he sure was beaten by some racist cops, captured on tape calling him a nigger. in florida, cops killed a black guy who tried to outrun them, beat him to death. race riots ensued.

every time the cops are aquitted. at worst they are fired. its pretty ridiculous. and this is just the stuff that gets noticed or taped. how much police brutality do you think goes on? thank god more people have cell phone cameras these days.

you would be suprised... and disgusted..

a cop here in edmonton shot a man 4 times in the back and two times in the chest after the stabbed a police dog when it bit when as he was running away... the dog is fine...

i mean sure dont run.. but since when can a police officer open fire when HIS life or anyone elses is not in danger.

the cop just recently got aquited and his reaction was said to be "reasonable" . and two weeks later he got promoted..

its such fuckin bullshit.

why are cops allowed to be so far above the law?

its a complete double standard

there are some fuckin terrible cops (quite alot) but others can be like real down to earth and shit.

+karma. this dude knows whats up.

about JD's movie though, that

was bullshit, i could maybe see why the douchebags in the bulletproof

vests would want to tazer this guy, they probably got a report saying

he was being unruly and he was breaking some shit. but instead of

acting like they should have been trained to, they acted on emotions,

and a guy died because of it. right when they showed up, he was totally

cooperative, and from what i could see, made no motion to justify being

tazered. stupid ass cops, i really do hope some shit goes down after

this. and Xavier did a pretty good job of covering what i'd like to see happen.

to be very blunt about the issue: cops are pigs. everyone who goes through the police academy will probably go on a serious power trip at some time. theyre also racist, and way too fond of the taser and billy club. they shouldnt even have guns. i remember 3 albany cops shooting a black man 54 times. they thought he had a gun. he was going for his wallet because they asked him for id. he had kids. they didnt do any time. from personal experience the cops in my town are always down on people for the stupidist shit. conclusion: fuck the police

i'll say it and i mean it- i hate ALL cops. every single one. fuck police, i fucking hate pigs.

go ahead and try to tell me i'm wrong, i can't possibly hate ALL cops, what about the "good" cops (no such thing), blah blah blah whatever- you aren't changing my mind, i hate every single cop.

i remember that. 54 shots would take so fucking long to let off even divided b/t three people. think about it, they shoot him once, he falls to the ground and they just keep shooting the shit out of him as he on the gorund

Yea stuff like that absolutely disgusts me. Assuming that those cops had 15 shot clips, they would have had to reload their guns while the guy was laying dead on the ground, and then start shooting him again.

So If I walk into your house/home, hold you at gunpoint and then walk out with all your stuff you won't call the cops?

Where do you live?
