as for cops, here are my two cents - Yes, the profile, and in a way they have to. But they don't always profile minorities, hell they do it to everyone. Stop sobbing about being questioned, just because you are black.
 
you should just cut your loses with the backpack and be happy you didn't get charged. I was ran over by a car twice last year resulting in fracturing both my legs, the cops found a handle of booze in my backpack and identification and I got a PMB. Would you rather have your bag and a charge? or would you rather be thankful you didn't get caught and say oh well about the backpack. and resenting the cops for breaking up your little fire is naive. bigger fish to fry? who says? in a lot of situations like your's where people are drinking oftentimes people get behind the wheel and end up crashing their cars and people die, if that's not a big deal to you than what is?
 
i dont mind cops sometimes like when they are getting rid of fucking meth labs. But sometimes i think they get on some gay ass power trip. its like they think just beacsue they have a gun and a badge they deserve respect.
