For the past 3 weeks, we have been having this bonfire thing out in the woods just barley on campus. anyway, I think there is a fireban right now, and plus, it is a dry campus, and we definatly drink a lot at these fires. so far we have had no problems, and there wasnt even that many people lastnight compaired to the usual. Anyway, the cops show up on this service road thing and everyone runs away from the fire (actually, this was, and is a good idea, considering where it is...). Anyway, we get back much later, and all the alchahol is gone (thats cool, i mean they are just doing their job), but what really pisses me off is that they took EVERYTHING that was laft there including my really nice Drop backpack. They have absolutly no reason to take shit like that, asside from simply being assholes. Even if they did catch any of us, its not like it would have made a differance. What the fuck, im so pissed.

You expect them to leave a bunch of alcohol just layin there for whoever walks by to pick it up?

Im sick of people givin cops shit. You do something illegal you get busted, it's their job. Don't like the law? It's not their problem, it's their job to uphold it.
 
how do u know the cops took your bag? maybe some other kids went there when u left and took your shit?
 
yea their could be a wallet in there with I.D and they would bust you then for criminal trespassing most likely if it was a service road. they had every rite to take your bag. it should have been on your back anyways usually people rob other peoples stuff if there is a bag sitting around. I took gum out of a purse once.
 
once i got stopped by a cop while piss drunk with a waterbottle of taquilla in my pocket ofter curfew and i was with a friend and all he did was drive us home and taek our information. he didn't evenn call our parents
 
whenever ive been at a party people with backpacks always have them ion them for two reasons, 1)They have booze in them and it would hard to drink it if it wasnt on or with you, and 2) People jack whatevder they can get their hands on.
 
evidence. they want you to go claim it or ask for it, etc. then they will bust you. also, they probably searched it for drugs/id/more booze/other illigal goods.

cops are so racist, i am black and i was sitting on the curb waiting for my friend to show up for a school project cause he didnt know the house number and the cop pulls up and starts grilling me, he shines his flashlight in my eyes and i was just ditting there minding my own buisness

its pretty much out in the middle of noware in the woods. our campus is kind of on the mountins. Plus, we have had it going for the past 3 weeks just about every other night and have not had any trouble.

Your backpack will probably be in their found property storage. Doubt if they would charge you with anything at this point....too much paperwork.

you got it right. but the thing is that its not reatarded at all. The cops are taking advantage of the situation. thats not their job. their job is to protect people. Its like they figured they might as well do what they could to piss me off. This is why people hate cops. they get people in trouble, as opposed to doing their job, which is keeping people safe. While they are at it, they do asshole things such as take peoples backpacks for no reason.

and who says they're "taking advantage"? they found alcohol on campus in your backpack... like some people said: it's called evidence.
 
Well, the backpack itself isn't really evidence. But honestly, if you fuck up and almost get nabbed, you can't really expect any favours from the PD. Again, the best idea would be to go into the PD and say your backpack was stolen and you think the kid who took it was at the locale where they took it from. Then ask if they need it for some reason. If they say yes, ask what reason. If they say no, ask for it back. If they fuck with you, deny everything. Done and done.
 
Hahaha... Unless they plan to dust for prints or something, I'm not sure exactly what a backpack is about to accomplish for them. Now, the booze is evidence. The bag itself? Less so. Which is why you ask them if/why they need it. Maybe they have a good reason for hanging onto it... but probly not.
