Fuck people who say "Fuck the switch 10"

i think it should have came down to who was the hungriest and did the steeziest revert before the jump and not actually the jump itself.

variety is key to skiing. last year at the VT open all the kids were spinning well but it was starting to get pretty boring. then this one kid came along and threw a ridonculous TRUCKDRIVER FRONT FLIP. The whole crowd went wild to see something totally new. This is what we need in skiing, people trying to be different, creative and original

Simmers.... you say that big air is about doing the hardest possible trick...

Well how come nobody went off-axis? By your logic should not a corked sw 10 beat a straight sw 10?

The top 3 sw 10's were all crossed, grabbed either tail or tip and on-axis.

There are different tricks than this. Skiers have begun to conform to what "the man" wants simply because they want to get paid.

Be creative. Make a stand.

we have to remember that park skiing is fairly new and off the map. if we want to bring freeskiing into the spotlight like it should be, we need more variety!

completely agree with that but it would have been nice to see some skiers try something other than a switch 10...I know it wins contests and I can see where the athletes are coming from but I never saw any progression in the X Games.

progession is for filming....Xgames if for making bank so they can continue to film.

If you knew you had the trick that would net you 10 000, would you throw it or keep it real and do a 180?

I would try something dope and tough, but not a 1080. I didn't wanna seee a 180 either. The switch double back was dope, how about llike a shrab or a big ass switch 3. I think that its reasonable that they jump to win Bishop, they gotta pay the bills just like you and thats how they do it. But I just htink they should try it in their own way and stle, not by repeating the same trick.

GREAT comment. You're right that they have to pay the bills.

I also agree that they should do it in their own way. That's really all I'm asking for.

to be fait enough I dont think there is much debate about all this, it is blatently in the rider interest to do a cab ten a that point, quite simply because it's a trick that becomes viable at that point of the contest. If the slopestyle wouldn't have chamged to a big air rampage then it would have certainly be a lot different.

But wouldn't a switch rodeo 9 or 10 have had just as much chance at winning and also provided some much-needed variation?

its a very fair point! but then again it seems that the "judging trend" is about spinning, would be interesting to know, what are the factors they judge the athletes on .

I am sick of switch 10s and big air comps arent interesting at all, you just know what everyone is gonna throw anyways. Btw Håtveits 10 was better then Schiller imo. but non of them deserved to win anyways for throwing the same trick.

I heart Mr. Symms with his cute little puff ball hat and incredible steeze without poles. ahhhh.... What a heart breaker.

part of the problem was that that jump wasnt big enough and wasn't designed for a big air comp. if the jump was bigger and getting speed wasnt such a problem it woulda been possible to see a sw1440 or a 12 and rory prob woulda been able to stomp his double back.

Uhhhh...no? Go to skipass and watch TJ's 14 and Laurent's 7. The 14 is nice, but there is no way it looks anywhere near as smooth and full of steeze as the 7.

noone likes seeing a contest where it's the same trick just different executions, looka t moto x for exapmple..used to be fun to watch when only 1 or 2 would do the backflip now it's lame. maybe if people would do stuff like bushfield it'd be awsome to wacth, and a switch 10 wouldn't be so god damn boring to watch every now and then.

for fucks sake, cr won the us open big air with a switch 12 like 4 years ago. screw spinning to win.. the judges should start taking style into account, because if they don't, the athletes are just going to start throwing 1800s n shit and it gets stupid. if someone can throw a SUUUPER SMOOTH switch cork 7 true nose, no movement AT ALL. i think that should beat out a switch 10 with a whatever mute or tail grab any day.

candide was like riduclously off axis his head was like perpindicular to the side of the jump

ive already stated my opinion on what should have been done at X. its not worth beating a dead horse.

It wasn't an underflip. I think it was just really corked or perhaps a d-spin, but yeah it was really nice. I think Schiller definitely had a better 10 though - the best 10 of the competition. I just wish someone had mixed it up with some inverts or something.

skiing and especially big air comps are all about difficulty. do something super sick without making it look like ass.

most people arent tippin on the switch 10 they r rippin on the repetativness of it and the same grab and that u have to do it to win a comp

fuck the people who say "fuck the people whoe say fuck the people who say fuck the switch ten"

i.e. i agree, switch tens are really hard to do clean with good grab.

"Just shut the fuck up about the switch ten already"

So....you start a thread to tell people to stop talking about it? You're dumb.

they should just emliminate the big air and make a second slopestyle event with minor judging differences from the first slopestyle to mix it up. like the judges will be looking for different things from the skiers instead of just a big trick

with the jump the best trick that could be throwen is a switch ten and thast final

i dont care what you want if you want to win thats what needed to be done and if thats conforming then who gives a fuck like honestly half you people sound like little emo bitch that dont want to be like the man

I don't understand why you guys are complaing. The top freeskiers going head to head throwing down one of the dopest tricks out there. You think that it is un origanal, look at it this way. There has never been an x games big air before and a comp where are riders could throw down a switch ten. So stop crasterbating.

I really don't like you. You deserve to be dragged down state street behind a car and then shot repeatedly.

Go get therapy.
