Fuck My Life

Soo today, I threw a five of like a 45 footer at attitash. I landed a bit backseat near the top of the landing (switch, obviously), and kind of fell backwards down the landing.
I get up, unhurt, and find that my 2006 166 foil is pretty much snapped at the tail. FUCK.

Does anyone know what the deal is with warranties for this type of thing? salomon website says just 1 year for alpine skis, but that seems kinda cheap...soo

broken skis can be fixed but a broken back will leave you paralyzed forever

so yah just be grateful it was your skis that broke and not your back

the first thing that popped into my head when i saw this threads title was a scene in superbad at the liqour store haha

but im sorry about your skis, that royally sucks. salomon might be able to warranty them though

the tip of my flyers broke off lasty year it was under warrenty they shipped um back and i got the new 08 ones for free this year hahahah

haha yea dude i was thinking of that quote when i made this...soo funny.
But ya your right I definitely should be grateful it was my ski that broke and not me. Still though, hope I don;'t have to spend another $400:(

And to the kid who asked, they put up a realllly nice smooth 45 ft gap this weekend at attitash.

sorry bout the skis dude,

thats why i don't buy salomon skis, they are darsh

they are good with the warranty though, probably because they know their skis are made of frozen gooch juice

hmmm..what is it that makes em soo bad? i wanna know cuz im now in the market for new skis and was looking at this years thrusters

i don't know, i guess its the foam core,
they used to be super poppy for a couple of weeks max, then die on you, so they are great for gapers who don't ski often but if you want to work your ski like a russian bride than buy something with a wood core..
they might not even suck anymore, they just used to, and i do give them props for innovation w/ the 1080 and pocket rocket, but nowadays you gotta go k2, armada, dynastar, volkl, 4front.. pretty much anybody else.. in my humble opinion,

also, salamon graphics suck monkey anus, and who would ride a ski called the 'thruster'? thats like a nickname for a weightlifting male stripper in a gay bar

If you are skrewed and need a pair of sticks, I will mail you my old one's. Just have to pay the 20 shipping or whatever. I have some old fischers 167's that I could give you or some old public enimies 173 that I could give you. Just a thought if you are in a bind. They aren't in the best shape, but they work.

Boo who buddy cheer the fuck up!!! I fucked up 3 pairs of skis in the last ten days. First snapped my 07 PEs landing a 3 into pow backseat. It was already cracked though. The next time i went up skiing, i ripped out the heel piece to my karmas landing switch. I gotta get the those mounted center now. Yesterday i snapped my busted touble makers ski bumps. Today i just remounted up my old red and yellow Scratch FS. only thing got skiable right now.

im pretty sure that this years dumonts are wood core and not positive but i think that hte thrusters are too

that's not true at all. i broke my back in two places two seasons ago and i'm perfectly fine. didn't even need physical therapy.

hahah i laughed at the name of the thread cuz it reminded me of superbad....... but i would just call them and be like, wtf, this shouldnt happen...

yeah it just depends on what type of break and how bad. i got a compression fracture in my back 2 years ago and i was only out 5 weeks and i didnt have to do PT either.

Yeah... at least you didn't hurt yourself bro.. I strained my MCL and it sucks... but im still better off than some people... skis are replaceable immediately, broken bones and knees are not... keep shreddin.

Woah dude, I can't believe you just offered that, your the man! I'm gonna see what the deal is this week, but I'll PM you if I need skis. Thanks so much dude, really cool of you!
