got drunk, ate plate of 8 wings, left plate of 8 wing bones on table, left. came home...found plate elsewhere dog ate all bones, is he going to die or something? thiis night sucks my bro got a cut down to the bone, broke my moms expensive chair, and glasses, and fucked up the hot tub. plus my cat that had been missing for 2 weeks came home looking like an ethiopian, all while im housesitting my parents house. but is my dog gonna be ok?

Odds are that it will be fine. He's a carnivore and they should just pass through his system. That having been said, my dog ate a small sharp bone one time and the thing ended up blocking her small intestine and she had to get surgery so I'd just watch him to make sure that everything is normal.

Most dogs don't chew things very well, they just kind of rush to eat everything. Watch him for the next week, and the bones should pass through. They won't break down during digestion, so the only thing to be concerned about is abrasions to the digestive tract. I guess, without sounding too crude, watch for blood and make sure he is pooping.

weird that my first instinct was ns haha..i googled it and they said he would probably be fine on that and that i should just give him some white bread so i did. mostly the worry is that he would chocke but i guess he didnt so now i get to look at his dookie for a week and make sure there is no blood.

yeah wolves eat bones in the wild so dogs can to i heard its not good but its not too bad. Like dont just give your dogs bones but if it happens it should be ok cause they chew them to oblivion before they swallow them

the issue is when the bones pass down your dogs neck, if there arent bones sticking out of its neck and its not choaking like crazy it means that theyv passed down into the stomach and should digest properly. my little dog ata chicken leg the other day and was sweet

My dog at 2 chicken bones once and was fine. The danger is choking or possibly puncturing the stomach. As long as the bones stayed in tact and didn't break, your dog will be fine.

He'll be fine like everyone else said. we had a hog roast this weekend and gave my roommates dog about half of the pigs bones. She loved them to death and it's good for there teeth I think..

Also my old dog once ate an entire tray of brownies and was fine so I always doubt the whole chocolate thing too.

one time my dog swallowed shole and entire chicken breast bones adn all, that was last summer so shes fine now, and it was probally like 1/3 her size shes a small little fucker.

no offense, but why even bother giving advice that is pure speculation and hearsay?

dogs can in fact eat bones, as long as they are uncooked. I feed my dog raw chicken and beef bones all the time, it's a type of diet that is vet-approved. cooked bones, however, are a much different story. it is not safe at all for a dog to eat them. and dogs definitely do not chew them to oblivion before they swallow them, haven't you ever seen a dog eat before?

"my cat that had been missing for 2 weeks came home looking like an ethiopian"

HJAHAHAHAHAHHAHA OMG

yeah dude we were all sitting by the bonfire/ in the hot tub and i hear this noise, we thought that thing was dead for sure but i hear his meowwww so i call him and he comes up looking so fucking scraggly, he has long hair but you could still see that he was soooo fucking skinny, hes eaten like 3 dishes of food already, fastest ive ever seen a cat eat.

im pretty sure your dog will just crap them out. once i lost a bunch of legos when i was a kid and i started crying when i saw them in my doggies poop

the same thing happened to meaty in an episode of rob and big i may take him to a vet just in case cause the bones can get stuck in the dogs ass

my pals dog once ate a pound of chocolate, was fine.
if the dog is walking around with a bone halfway out it's ass, there might be an issue.
