IceRider and EFCS...I go to St. Marks actually in Massachusetts. Same league as St. Pauls. Same level education wise, but they kick our butts in most sports.

Which brings up a funny point. Phattim ripped on the education system and what not, but I'm not part of that. I go to a private school. Suck on that one. But back the point. The United States school system, while not perfect, produces much better people than any other school system.

Im pretty stoked to have created such a dope thread. Fuck France.

i also go to private, but the public school system in my town isnt bad at all...i've been to homestays in germany and france and their schools blow by comparison

no one was aware of teh genocide going on until after we joined. LOOK closely at any history adn you will see. As for the public schools inn the US, I attend on the the top 100 in the entire country (in a rating from 2 years ago). there are a lot fo very good schools here, and I am lucky to be in one next to a Univ. UNH... I can attend classes there, and we get a lot of help from them. As it is I will be graduating high school next year with 12 college credits. Don't tell me it's not a good education system when yuo live in a bum hole like NZ.

NMK, so why didn't France or Belgium do something about Germany when they saw it unfolding right at there door step? You are so fast to pass the blame on from the countries who should have reacted and acted then to the country who came in later and helped out. What would have happened if we just protected Britain and didn’t even go to Normandy, we would still have a couple hundred thousand of our troops and you French would be speaking German. What if the US only fought it’s war against japan instead of helping out in Europe as well? I’m sure Britain would have fallen as well, they were getting hit very hard by the Nazis. Instead of complaining that we didn’t get involved in the war early enough (after all, WWI sucked hardcore and we didn’t want another drawn out trench warfare over land that wasn’t ours) why don’t you thank us for getting involved?

It was the US that installed Saddam in the first place to combat the supposed rising threat to 'Middle East Stability' (i.e. oil)posed by an increasingly fundamentalist Iran. 24 years later they are removing this brutal regime. Before anyone gets on a high horse, you have to ask why it took so long and why there had to be so much suffering.

At the end of the day, its not about France and the USA, its about a nation supressed for 24 years being liberated and hopefully getting what they want.

And as for the comment on France and democracy - come on...that has to be joke considering the election farce that happened the last time in the US. Whilst France hasn't exactly co-operated in the war, the Bush administration hasn't exactly been co-operative to recent world policy either (E.G. Kyoto and emissions, disarmament policies etc.) and on a final point, everyone knows that the British have come up with just about every major invention in recent and not so recent times barring of course, the hamburger. We just have to go over to the States to where people are not so skeptical to get the ideas developed ;P

it took 24 years because it was 12 before he did anything to horrible that the world noticed. 1991 he invaded kuait, we fought back.. the UN steped in and it'd been 9 years of them fixing things when they were kicked out. Last year the US pushed to get them abck into iraq, and nto long after the war happened.
