Fuck dentists and numbing shit

I had a cavity filled today. I went to the dentist expecting them to just use the sand sprayer thingy that I've had done before but instead they numb the whole fucking left side of my face and its been 2 hours and I still can't feel it. I'm also starving but I'm afraid to eat because I'll bite my tongue or something.
 
i've had like 10 cavities before. and they all got filled. just drink stuff, its funny too because usually it just randomly falls out of your mouth without your consent.
 
haha novacaine is the shit, when you do a nummy with coke it feels the exact same way, and people pay lots of money for that shit so enjoy it!

Seriously, without it, or when it doesnt numb shit it sucks ass.

Basically they inject the Novocaine into these nerve bundles that go to your teeth. I had what the dentist called "the perfect storm of cavities." First the cavity was very close to the nerve in the tooth(the decay went from in between my teeth then up through the top to create a hole at the top-shame on me for not going to the dentist for 3 years). Second the nerve in my tooth wasn't in the nerve bundle(the only way to get to the nerve was drill through the bone).

I had to feel them drilling into my tooth.

Second part: The dentist made my tooth too high, so it offset my jaw and caused terrible pain all over my head. I had to go back in the dentist and he had to drill down on my tooth to make it smaller without Novocaine. sucked...

as far as your situation goes...just eat ice cream and soft shit.
 
when i had that numbing shit, everything felt really swollen... i couldnt tell if it really was or if it was just me

my tongue felt like a water baloon, and i bit it by accident and was bleeding everywhere
 
I had a simple cavity to fill last time I went, and they ended up giving me seven shots of novicane after two nurses AND THE FUCKING DENTIST couldnt find my nerve. The side of my face was swollen and numb for 5 hours. I tried to drink some tea 3 hours after because I was thirsty as balls and it went around my tongue and came out the other side. I looked like I had downs syndrome for a day. Thankyou mr dentist.
 
Thank god for it. 2 x Root Canal later..i couldn't have gone through that shit without it
 
I recently just got 7 cavities filled in. I went to the dentist once a

week for 3 weeks. Shit sucked so bad. The novocaine basically saved me

mad amounts of pain. I dont care my mouth is numb after. Its actually

mad funny. Go out to restaurant or in my case a baseball game and try

to drink out of a straw. Gets so out of hand, its hilarious.
 
i got a cavity filled like a month ago the thing that bothered me is when i tried to eat something i could never tell if i was eating the food or my tounge or the side of my mouth
 
yeah right, a nummy does not feel like that. It would have to be a shit load of coke, and i don't think anyone would waste that much money to numb their gums. be careful not to chew your cheek. i always used to do that when i got a filling, and my cheek would hurt for the next week
 
so today i found out that 3 days before my b-day i have a consultation to have my molars removed... does hurt like a mofo??? heared it does.... and wat they give u for pain???
 
i got that when i was 10 3 teeth pulled didnt hurt at all the only bad part was the needle into the gums...
 
i got local anesthesia for my wisdom teeth. had to get stabbed 12 times, i almost cried. the worst is getting it in the roof of your mouth and the soft spot on your lower back teeth.
 
Its one of those things you love to hate.

Last time i went in for an abscessed tooth (super gay shit) and my dentist was about to numb me up and said "this will hurt" and damn it did. Sticking the needle on the inside of the gums (not outside) hurts a lot more, plus there is considerable pressure. But I'm glad he did, because eventually he sliced open some spots on my mouth roof and gums to drain some infected shit. When the shit started to wear off a little later as I was getting my prescription.... oh my god it was painful. It would have been hellish to get that shit done without the novacane.

Moral: the numbing shit sucks, but at least we have it, otherwise life would REALLY suck.
 
must have been super shitty but ive had way worse, yours is nothing compared to my experiences.

so one day im skiing back country and what not. last run of the day i see this huge ass kicker. i hit it and land with my knee hitting me in the mouth.... lost 4 teeth broke 2 killed 3 and my braces went straight through my mouth/lips...they were everywhere. so i found 3 teeth in the snow, huge puddles of blood everywhere. i was so fucking pissed.... i was reached by ski patrolers 3hrs later and got to the hospital 5 hrs after that. so amlmost half my teeth died. i had 2 surgeries, one where they pulled my tooth that was almost touching my ear going through the mouth... and 2-3 root canals, where they drill holes in your teeth and fill it in what not,(hurts like no other). so after all this my teeth recover in about half a year, no eating for the entire time so i have to blend all my food and stuff. im all good and it comes to soccer season.... i get kicked in the fucking mouth.... losing another tooth my whole bottom row of teeth are laying flat on my tounge and theres another surgery...and 2 months of eating nothing but liquids. i then get these mucolseals that are like bubbles in your lip and they cut they out and stitch me up again.... so basically ive gone through so much fucking pain.... basically overall it was close to a $20,000 accident. not adding the fake teeth that im going to get (implants) atleast 4 of them, about $1,500 each tooth but that is when im 21....and im 16. but i always wear a mouth guard for every sport. i even have a chin guard on my helmet... any impact to my mouth will fuck me up...even the slightest hit... its so fucking gay.

still havent gotten my wisdom teeth out yet....sooooo fucked up. so pissed......

 
i know how ya feel. i got my wisdom teeth taking out tuesday.they put the nitrogen on my nose and i started feeling lie i was floating then they gave me the iv anathesia and 2 seconds later i was dead asleep and then i slept the rest of the day and woke up the next morning haha
 
i got 2 teeth pulled on the bottom in the front and they numbed my whole lower lip and both cheeks and shit and it took like 2 days for it to fully go away, and yeah they tell you to be really careful eating because you could start chomping on your lip and not even realize it
 
it's really hard to carry on a conversation with a dentist when they putting sharp metal sticks in your mouth.

dentist-"Got any plans for the summer?"

me-"mhmehmehham"

translation-"yeah. As soon as you take that sharp thing outta my mouth I plan to kill you with it."

NO2 is the best

Nitrous Oxide makes you feel amazing... My dentist always hooks it up.

Novocaine not so much.

Don't worry it'll wear off in a few hours. Eat things like potatoes, jello, popsicles, things that will melt or fall apart/dissolve in your mouth.
 
your dentists use needles to freeze you right? because i havent seen eny of you say that. i hate going to the dentist because of the fucking needles.
 
o yeah and last time i went he was freezeing near my molers and he hits a nerve ending or something and it sends a massive electric shock through my body. i jump from it and the needle goes way the fuck into my mouth. hurt like a bitch.
 
Yeah dude. They stab them into your gums and you can feel it like move around. I fucking hate shots and every time I get one I go into a cold sweat and feel totally sick for like 5 minutes after, it sucks ass.
