Moving off to university last year, it was one thing when my mom said i had to clean out my room as I wouldn't be living at home, and she was turning it into a guest room. What i brought with me to school was with me, everything else went into a box into the storage room downstairs. I couldn't get over that for a while.

Well, this year, my mom, brother, and dad decide they are going to go to Florida without me in march. Was i ever pissed about that. Everything we have ever done like that we have done as a family, and they booked flights for 3 people, i found out about it pretty much as the tickets were bought.

Bullshit.

Now my brother just tells me my dad and himself decided they could use a little ski vacation out west. I was told about this by my brother telling me he is going outwest with dad for a week. Thanks for the invite?

Thats it. I am here at school, poor as hell, and my family has 2 big trips planned without me in the next 4 months. I am pissed.
 
welcome to college. it happens to everyone. my family went to hawaii without me and i am from boston, so it was a big deal.
 
i know exactly what you mean, we always have tons of guests frequenting our house and when i moved out it was just like any other guest leaving. im still living in the same town though and one day i was talking to patti(my dads partner) and we were talking about what the plan was for xmas vaction and she goes "well kai and barry both have tickets to hawaii to see your uncle for 3 weeks and explore caves, they never told you?" fuck no they didnt tell me! and they both know very well that have a strong connection with my uncle and absolutely love exploring caves with him.
 
mine are actually the opposite. Both my brother and I are gone at school (he's a senior, i'm a freshman) and we actually have more trips planned. We're going on a cruise this winter and some other smaller trips. But yea, i know a bunch of people who's family is going on trips without them

my parents are moving to florida for the winter. they would take vacations with my brother to ottawa while i was still living at home and not tell me till they were leaving. whatever. i dont want to go to florida. that place sucks worse than ontario.

Guess you mustve been an annoying little shit when you were young. They fucking hate you! Meh dont worry about it, if they are paying for your schooling its all good, and florida sucks ass anyways~
