FUCK BASEBALL

Baseball is literally the only thing in my life that stresses me out. I feel mean and aggressive because these pussy ass cubs are winning. I mean so what, let them have this one but I'm probably gonna fight the dude wearing a cubs jersey. Mammoth counts as SoCal so legally I'm probably allowed to Brian Stow his bitch ass.

That's beside the point. What stresses you hedonistic bums out?

As a die hard Giants fan I'm probably one of very few who will pick up the Brian Stowe reference.

I don't think it stresses me out much, maybe Brian Wilson appearances of the past, but I love it and I'm thinking unless the 'stros pull something out of their collective asses I'm going to hate both teams in the series and yet I'll still follow it. It's like heroine.

You're forgetting that the Astros left the National League and submitted to the blasphemy of the DH and therefore should be reviled for all eternity.

While I agree on principle I sure as shit can't pull for the Doyer's or the cubbies.

Also as a smaller guy I appreciate watching José Altuve, that guy is dope.

The dodgers are just a shit baseball team, get over it. I smell a 4-0 cubbies run while you chumps crash out Yankees style

The Dodgers are the best team in baseball in every statistical category.

This whole postseason has been a battle of lesser evils. Looking like the Yankees will end up beating the Astros that can't stop choking under pressure. Going to be a showdown of the salaries and egos. This season should just be over with. Can't root for the Yankees so hoping the Dodgers win I guess...or a miracle comeback from the Astros, as they sure have the talent.

Fuck this season (lifelong Twins/Mariners fan)!!!

1927 Yankees, 1997 Yankees, and the 2017 Dodgers are the best teams in baseball history. PERIOD. That's just statistics. Factor in the absolute dominance of our post season bullpen which HASTN'T ALLOWED A SINGLE RUN THROUGH 8 GAMES and this is the most exciting team of all time. Also, sure we've got a huge payroll but look at our stars it's not like we're just buying talent. Turner was NLDS and NLCS MVP and we signed him to a minor league contract after the Mets cut him. Chis Taylor was the co-MVP of the CS and only question he got asked is How did you get so good? He got good because we've got a great manager and a great team, he wasn't in a position to succeed in Seattle. Kike Hernandez hit 3 homers and makes significantly less than the league average. Puig, Pederson, Seager, and Bellinger are still on rookie contracts. This isn't a hired team, we fucking built it.

Slow your roll homie. I'm a baseball nerd regardless of personal biases, obviously my teams have choked as expected. As a Mariners fan, it's always impressive and repulsive to see what happens to a player once they are traded from the Mariners. Chris Taylor is just one of the more recent and more public examples of this disgusting, yet more frequent than imaginable phenomenon. What he's done compared to his tenure with the Mariners can't be put into words, and he's just one of the more recent examples. Transformation just doesn't begin to cover it; offensively or defensively.

The postseason is actually more fun when you don't have personal stakes involved haha.

There's no denying what the Dodgers have done this season. There is more top tier talent on that team to cover 3 mid level teams or more. Just saying it's a bit ridiculous that the "buy your championship" stigma is proving itself to be true this postseason with what is shaping up to be a Dodgers vs Yankees World Series.

Fuck the Yankees, let's go Dodgers!

lol darvish got fooled

No fucking joke. I will drink/smoke to that.

Unreal to see his season tailspin into oblivion like that. I bet the Rangers are feeling a ton better about his trade deal after this Series.

Damn entertaining way to end another season of america's pasttime. Already looking forward to next season.

would be fun to see him live up to the hype but hes still a beast in the regular season. this will be a learning lesson and probably wont fuck up the next opportunity given the chance.

fun series, though. i pay attention to baseball here and there but man that was some cool shit to see.

springtime is my favorite with the NHL cup runs and NBA finals runs too

s/o to astros for beating the team that everyone hates, and winning the ws for the first time ever

people who get their panties in a twist over sports are weirdos. like who the fuck actually cares?

It's impressive that people care to the point of reading up on stats so they can seem more impressive in barroom arguments. That's a part I could never grasp.

The wealth of player/team stats that some people possess amazes me, particularly when they're otherwise dumb as a bag of rocks haha

It's one thing to enjoy sports and be loyal to a team, I just think a lot of people take it too far either in disagreements or by letting a loss ruin their week. People in LA are mopey af today over the Dodgers loss, and it's just kind of pathetic

Never understood it. Never will.

I don't understand sports hate.

Sure you aren't into sports and don't watch. fine. That doesn't make you a bad person.

But rooting for a local teams kinda like being into skiing in a way. How sports fans consume sports and talk about it's no different than us skiers on here. How can you hate that?

Plus I fuckin love drinking beer and shit talking, cracking jokes, and watching shit like hockey with friends.
