First of all, this will probably be a long message so bare with me.

Where the hell is this world going, lately I can't even show a bit of respect to any authority figure out there, teachers, principles, cops, even bus drivers.

Just the other day a couple of my friends grabbed a kid and duct taped him to a flagpole, it wasn't much of a big deal, they even let the kid go after they did it, funny for a bit, no big deal. Well they fucked with the wrong kid, he went to the office crying to the principle, then to his parents, his parents called the cops and the three people that taped the kid to the flagpole all got charged with assault and have restraining orders put on them so that they can't go near the kid, near the school or near each other. They are also suspended for 21 days from school so there semester is pretty much fucked. How could something so little turn into something so big, this wasn't a case of bullying I don't think because the kid that got taped doesn't get bothered all the time or anything, but it just turns out he's a major pussy.

now a few of my good friends all have their futures in jeapordy, they might not be able to get the job they want because of an assualt charge, they might not get into the school they want or anything like that. And to make matters worse, all three of my friends that taped the kid were cuffed and thrown in the back of a cop car in front of the entire school.

It pisses me off to see something like this happen, my friends had clean records never did anything that bad, they aren't bullies, they don't break the law and for the most part follow the rules. And now they have an assault charge under their belt.

It pisses me off that police need to get involved in something like this, when it could easily be settled in the school, and when the police do come in, it doesn't solve the problem, it just makes more problems, now this incident is gonna be on the radio in the newspaper maybe even on local television news. What fucking bullshit.

Yeah, seriously, fuck the police. I hate every damn thing about how they try and think that they are total hotshots. The other day one of my friends got a ticket for loitering becuase he was sitting in a parking lot of a grocery store waiting for his car to warm up. HORSESHIT!

 
SOme kids in my school got suspended for throwing insults at a kid. He is a little rich fuck, so he went home to his nanny, and she called the cops. Not as bad as assult, but all they did was talk.

Can I pleeeeeaaaase skip school for the X-Games?

thats fucking bullshit. that kid obviously has never gotten his ass kicked before, and when it finally happened he couldnt take it. when that kid grows up, if he ever does he will not be able to rely on his parents for saving his ass. someone needs to teach that kid a lesson. sucks about your friends. theres much worse things that the police should worry about than a little peice of shit kid that cant handle being duct taped to a pole.

It is assault to touch another person. Any unwanted touching, can and will be considered assault.

Assault 265.

(1) A person commits an assault when

(a) without the consent of another person, he applies force intentionally to that other person, directly or indirectly;

So while you are crying and bitching about breaking the law, the Police are upholding the law.It is elected officials who make the laws. Get mad at them. Sure, no harm was done to the kid. But really, lets say You have 3 strangers grab you in the middle of the street, and duct tape you to a parking meter. I guarantee, your going to shit your pants. So, your punk friends are getting off pretty easy with a 21 day suspension. BTW, blame the kid and his parents to why the police are involved.

i dont think that your buddies shoud have got the legal punishment they did, and i agree that everything from what happend to your friends, to bein 'p.c.' is getting out of control. however, i must stand up for some cops. there are a few good ones out there... yesterday i was driving down the hill from tahoe, and i got pulled over cause my registration has been expired for 9 months. he talked to me for a bit, and i told him the reasons why, (they were pretty legit) and he just told me to go get it registered when i got home.. no ticket or anything. so my hat goes off to the friendly chp officer and cops like him...

cops on a power trip are retarded. i was driving home from a mountain last march and got pulled over for speeding. there were four of us in my tiny car along with all our gear, the cop made us get out and searched the car for 'anything he should know about.' luckily the dumb fuck didn't look in my sunglass case cause they're was a piece in there with a like a gram. they suck big time, every other car was speeding but he pulled us over cause it was four kids in a car.

 
The cops may have been upholding the law, but they are still on powertrips, and you also are looking at it like something very serious happened. Things like this happen all the time, the kid is small, it's just like being shoved in a locker or something in high school, are they going to charge people for that now too. Although they probably could, why the fuck would they.

And the way they treated these guys was like they were from the fuckin ghettos, when really all of them are from small towns, clean records, abide by the law all the time. And even if the law says they can be charged for this, it should slide, and I do hold that little whining bitch responsible for all of this.

Here is some more info on the subject. When the cops handcuffed one of the guys, the cuffs were so tight they broke the skin on one of my friends wrist, when they got to the station, my friend was asked what his moms work phone number was, his parents were seperated and he was living with his dad so he didn't know, the cop began slamming him against the cell telling him he was a bad son, that he was the reason for his parents splitting up, what the fuck is that, if i ever see this cop I'm definitely going right up to him and telling him what an asshole he is. It seems like when you follow all of the rules your whole life, and make one little mistake, it doesn't matter, your still guilty until proven innocent.

I laughed at a girl who was sittinn next to me that had extremely hairy arms. I didn't even direct the laugh (or iggle) to her. I never siad anything, just had a silly moment then got back to work. Anyway, she went to the teachers and the teacher went to the principal. I was charged with assault (within the school, no cops were involved). I got a phonecall home and a detention. I had to have a meeting with the girl and our vice principal (who somewhat resembles Mr. Harper from Boston Public). Now I have a school record of bullying and if I do it again the cops may getr involved. I think this is BS cuz I never even touched her and it all went by in less than a minute.

The first incident on my record happened last year when to native girls (not that race matters) told their boyfriends that I had told everyone the girls were pregnant (from their boyfriends). They came to me and eventually it ended in my buddy (the fighter type) getting involved because of personla issues, anyway he decked both kids. I got an assault record, the boyfriends got suspended for one day, my buddy got suspendedfor one day (got homa and his dad had a sho of tequila waiting for him) and the girls didnt get anything. To make matters worse, at the beginning of this year the girls (who aren't goin out with those boys anymore) told me they were sorry for lying to everyone!!! OMG! Sheesh. So theres my story.

That's lame of them to duct tape someone to a pole. It doesn't make a difference that they didn't hurt him and let him go. It's also not the fault of the police for having assault charges filed against them. They were told to by the school or parents.

Rebeling against authority is common with teenagers, and as you get older you'll see it's not as bad as you think.

 
first off, why the fuck did your friends duct tape a kid to a pole? I believe you that your friends are good kids but that is a ridiculous thing to do. I know from expierence that when your young you do stupid things (I'm still young and am still doing stupid things.) however, everyone knows when to draw the line. did they think that the kid would just laugh it off?

If this happened to you would you be happy? If i were that kid id probably be pretty fucking pissed off. Personally i dont like to see the cops get invovled in such incidents when the people invovled are still in highschool, this is because having any kind of criminal record can seriously fuck up your future.

As for the dumb fucks who say the police are useless: get your heads out of your asses!

Let this be a lesson for all: dont tape anyone to anything.

Two: If you were duct taped, would you just take that shit, no.

Three: Revenge, you can prank the kids or beat them up... maybe this kid didn't have the ability to do these, so this kid got the ultimate revenge, making the kids feel retarded and getting them in real trouble. If you were on the other side of this story, you'd be pissed as hell at your friends.

Now if that story about the cop in the jail is pretty shady, and if it's true, that's bullshit. But in prison, they're not gonna let you live in a bubble, they try and break you. Your school probably got the cops involved, because one of their top priorities is to create an environment that lets kids feel safe, shit what are people gonna think if they let your friends off the hook and just said don't do it again.

Anyway, I'm assuming you're from canada, do juvey records ever get wiped clean, our records are clean at 18, and we start over.

Yeah I think thats gay to tape someone to a pole. However, you don't deserve a record over it. I think that assault charges are fucking stupid nowadays. What happened to let boys be boys?? Don't get me wrong I'm all for talking it out but sometimes people just need to have some teeth knocked out for their own good. For example when you tell someone they're a poser for wwearing a sessions shirt and have no affiliation with skating/skiing/snowboarding and they try to deny thats grounds enough. You should definitly be allowed to fuck them up.

The cops shouldn't have become involved, but when you pick a fight with someone lower than you, they will retaliate, not with force, but with the fuckin law. There are laws for everything now, you jsut have to find the right one,a nd you can get anyone busted now. Think before you do something like that, and tell your friends that too. Sure it's funny, but look at what happened to your firends. Tape your little brother up to the flagpole, he'll go to his parents (who also happen to be yours), but you won't get charged.

DFT1080, you got no right to say somethin like that about somebodys friends, especially when your talking about one mistake they made, for the rest of their lives, they've stayed out of trouble and never did anything like that. But why the fuck is it that when somebody's feelings get hurt these days, your in big trouble, and people could stand to laugh something like this off, it's not like people sat back and laughed at him while he stood their helplessly tied to a pole, he was even let go very shortly after, 4 people charged with assault over that is major fucking bullshit in any way you look at it, and no their records won't be wiped clean when the turn 18, that charge if given, will be with them for life.

First i believe that story about the kid getting pushed around in jail is bullshit. (as in, making up shit)

Second, they had a clean record. SO, they haven't been caught before. Thats all that says.

I'm guessing they are minors, so it will be gone after 18. IF NOT, a pardon will be given IF they don't get caught doing something stupid again. It won't stay with them for life.

a similar thing happened to me. on the last day of summer break, me and my friends decided to chill and get some weed. so we were in the park across the street waiting for a kid to drop off the pot, and his friend dropped him off and he got out and came over to us. someone called the cops saying they had witnessed a drug deal, i guess they watched the 2 kids in the car. well why we were smoking in the woods, i bike cop came by, and we were all abviously stoned. i got searched and he found 9 grams of shit weed and my pipe and me and 2 other kids that i dont know got busted. i didnt get suspended or anything like that, but it still sucks to have to go through court and everything involved with being arrested. my case was dismissed though, so i guess i didnt get it as bad as your friends, even thought ive lost all my parents trust and then some

I could see some kind a of punishment such as a couple detentions appropiate for the situation, but assault and being suspended for over 4 weeks is rediculous. I don't know the whole story, but from what I understand, the kids are good kids, just pulling a joke, not aware that they will be hurting someone. They wouldn't of even consider doing it, if they knew the consequences. I really don't know what to say, they definatly deserve some kind of punishment, but that too harsh for merely taping a kid to a pole.

That's bullshit. People need to learn the difference between a harmless prank and a true crime. We used to do that ALL the time in highschool. We'd duct tape kids to railings, hog tie them in the hallways, and if we got caught it was a slap on the wrist. When i first went to high school people used to haze the new kids. I was made to swim through a disgusting swamp, some of my friends got their pants stolen, and aside from the odd person who crossed the line (flushing a kids head in the toilet) nobody got in trouble and everyone turned out fine. By the time i got to my senior year, if you got caught hazing on or off school property you were automatically suspended for 30 days. Why? There's no point...nobody ever got hurt or sick. It's waste of time.

I hope your buddies win in court. if they didn't physically injure the kid then unless they can prove that the kid is emotionally scarred from it (and hopefully the kid isn't a big enough asshole to pretend that in court) then they should get off at least with a lesser charge like mischief.

yeah schools are serioulsy starting to suck. same with college....everything turns into a lawsuit these days. i had a friend that pulled out his dong in the band room in 11th grade and he got kicked out of school for that. another friend of mine accidently brought a handgun bb gun to school and someone saw it in his backpack. he got kicked out of school for a year. and i pissed in a bottle on the soccer bus and threw it out the window of the school bus and chucked it out the window to watch it explode all over another car on the thruway and lost my bus privelages my senior year.

 
Shit cops do suck. Me and 2 friends were going to lunch from our school and my friend(the driver) was lookin a t his sack and put on his brakes a littlle to late. The people in front of us were our friends and no damage to the car even happed. But a cop saw us looking at the car, he then put on his lights flipped a bitch in the road and told us all to get back in our car. So he gets all of the insurance and lincenses and all that shit. Anyways the girl in the car said she didn't want to press charges so the cop gave them their stuff back and let them go. But the fucking pig holds us there for 55 min. and gave my friend a 4 point ticket and a $55 fine. This also happened like 5 mins into lunch and we only have a 40 min lunch(which blows). SO we're 20 mins late already so we were like fuck class and lets go smoke. So we go and puff at his house for like 25 min. As we left the house we're driving back to the school and another cop pulls us over and makes us get out and sit on the sidewalk while more cops show up and start to interrigate us and ask who we are and why we weren't in school. Then all of a sudden they said we're free to go because they caught the people they were looking for. To make things even worse we know the kids who they were looking for and they are black. Not to sound racist but me and my friends are pale nasty white. Thank god the kid left the smoke at his house or else we would have been busted for that to. FUCK COPS!!!

It is like there is a regulation to have a cirtian length of a lungh so they just made the uckng passing perion shorter. that doesn't solve much because then we are aloways late to class. it is fucking stupid
