yes. tell me one band that was soemwhat small for a while then signed big and didnt change their sound.

it doesnt matter. it is supporting a big coperation. it is what they say they are against. not like they werent in every record store as it was on fat. (fat not that great of a lable either, got some stories about them...).

you have a point there but here is a sutuation for you. your goal is to be really rich, in order to help develope somthing to help out the environment. you coudl easly steal to get the money you need for your project/whatever it happenes to be. does that make it right to do so?

They are just sick of the Bush administartion and everything that is going on overseas so they are trying to actually do something about it.

ok so here is how i was trying to relate that:

anti-flags main goal is getting their message out to people. but it is like they are stealing beucase their message is anti corperate, yet through their decisions of what they will do with their much, they are supporting a big corperation, and therefore it is like stealing becuase it is doing just what they said was worng.

i see what your saying, and there is a chance it could turn out ok, but my initial reaction is that they are carrying out exactly what they preech against.

I've always disliked Anti-Flag anyway, they are just followers that jump on the bandwagon. This is just them doing what they do best.

Every artists that signs big has a letter like that sayin we wont change blah blah blah. another punk band signs to a major label, more kids get angry, same old story...

i can see both sides of the issue especially when dealing with anti-flag. They help out getting information to so many kids and young adults about grassroots organizations etc. etc and i say if this helps them reach out to even more then go for it...

ived listened to anti flag for give or take 9 years i think, im not too sure, and if they came out with a pro-capitalism lyric filled ablum id probably enjoy it just as much, and im a liberal freak...

ok, sorry about that, they had go kart as distro for a while. anyway the point was that AF records is the actual recording part of it, and fat, go kart, and now rca are the distributors. although who knows, maybe rca will be their recording now too.

yeahh i dont know. they always talked about indie media and thats what they always supported, always said fuck big busines and fuck big labels, so, this action completely contradicts what they have always said when forming, however, i will wait to see what the music is before i hate on it.

 
other bands are going to that too and onyl some of them actually sell out jeeze wait till another album comes out before u start hating.
