I'm sick of feeling like a fucking criminal when I want to drink some beer and smoke some herb in my own house or out on my porch...
 
I really think your hate is being directed at the wrong people. Is it "america's" fault that it is illegal to smoke herb? i'm pretty sure it's not.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a pothead or anything, but I hate the idea of people spending their entire lives in jail over it because it's totally fucking harmless. To take someone's life from them because they were in possession of some herb is arbitrary and totally fucked up. Completely.

I actually like america a lot, but there are many things about its government that strike me as being completely fucked up.

last time i checked you don't get "your life taken away" if you have possession of a minimal amount of weed, you get a slap on the wrist. Now if you have pounds and pounds of weed, thats different.

Uh in order to spend your life in jail, you don't have to have "some" herb. You're blowing it way out of proportion. The only time people really get throwin in jail for weed is if they are dealing with a lot of it. If you're just a smoker as you are saying, you shouldn't be complaining about it.

Actually the penalty on tax evasion would probably be higher than the drugs itself.

the main reason why weed is illegal is b/c a lot of times it can lead to heavier stuff like cocain, heroin, meth. called a gateway drug. i can definitely see why they dont want people doing those drugs.

Of course I will continue to drink and smoke out on my front porch, but I'd sure as hell have a lot more fun if I wasn't worried about going to jail.

I suggest you move to Afganistan, the country is full of like minded people who also hate the United States, there are pleanty of mountains for skiing and since the government is still being formed I'm pretty sure that the drug laws are pretty laxed. Infact, if you move soon you might be able to voice your oppinion and have drugs legalized. Just watch out for those crazy a-rabs!
 
yeah if you're a fucking retard and do shit to fit in. the two reasons its illegal is because its mind altering. simple as that. when you do it, it can make you do stupid shit and your senses are affected negatively sometimes. but so it alcohol you say? the second is because unlike alcohol there is no way to determine how f-ed up you are when you're high. if there was a device and a scale to rate how high one is then that might be a step towards legalization.
