Fuck all yankee fans

so i hate yankee fans for many reasons but they really pissed me off tonight...

what the fuck is wrong with them? booing and chanting against jonathan papelbon for what? first the chants saying he is overrated, which he obviously isnt. he's only one of the best closers in baseball if not the best. so he's on the red sox but guess what, tonight HE'S ON YOUR TEAM and youre fighting for home field advantage in the WORLD SERIES. you want an overrated player just look at derek jeter, the least clutch player in baseball. and then booing papelbon for that run that he couldnt help. so navarro cant throw and young cant catch, you definitely dont boo the pitcher. 53,000 faggots in that stadium tonight. that shit just irritates me.

its rivera actually and no. red sox fans arent a bunch of airheads that boo their own team. but lets see....oh yea, the yankees did the same thing with a rod. they booed him for only hitting .290 and hitting only 35hr and only getting over 100rbis. sox fans, or any other fan wouldnt do that. just a large group of losers

this is what our rivalry is all about. do you really want everything to be all good and grand between the so and yankees? no you dont. baseball would suck. we hate red sox players and were gonna boo them, and your gonna be pissed. thats just the way it is and the way it should be. basically what im saying is this thread is exactly why the rivalry is so great, because were ALWAYS gonna disagree with eachother.

with that said. Jeter has more playoff hits than any other player in the history of major league baseball. i dont really know how else you can define clutch cuz its not like basketball where you can ask for the game (ball) to be in your hands. Jeters in a batting order and has delivered more than anyone.

you dont boo people on your team...saying that yankees DID boo A-rod when he wasnt doin to good...thats just bitches bein bitches...def. not the way to roll and sox fans def. dont boo their own team...both papelbon and moe pitched good ball...true are a run was scored on paplebon but it was unearned pretty sure because of the error on the throw to second...so bottom line is yankee faggots over reacted with what paplebon said on monday about him closing, right after he had praised moe as the godfather of closing...suck on that Yankee Dicks

it seems to me that redsox fans follow baseball more than yankee fans and are more "baseball intelligent," yankees fans, it seems to me just cheer for good play and boo bad play, i am a redsox fan though... buuuuut redsox fans definitely would have booed all the yankee players in the allstar game. it's just what you do if you're a redsox or yankees fan. they still play for the rival team.

i will somehwat agree with this because ive wanted to say this for a while now. please read this

I grew up in New York and live in Pittsburgh. I am a long time Yankee fan and a die hard Steelers/pittsburgh fan. On top of that Paul Pierce may damn well be my favorite athlete outside of tiger woods ever. so i feel like im somewhat objective on this.

here is what I think...

New York is the best sports city in the world. I actually dont even know how this can be objected. If you love SPORTS and not necessarily one team in particular, why would you ever live in Boston over New York. 8 Pro teams from the big 4 sports within a 50 mile radius, you just can't beat that. MSG and Yankee Stadium have more history than any other venues in the world.

New England is the best city to adore a team. Boston teams win, they care, they try, there sportsman, and above all they care about there fans. It's no wonder that America is Red Sox nation (although the Yankees have the most fans). A die-hard boston fan for any team has experienced the most ups and downs, exciting moments, and sad/happy tears of anyone. They have pound for pound the best teams. what i mean by that is although New York city has more championships than any city, theres 15,000,000 people in NYC, and it just doesnt seem that intimate, they SHOULD win. But boston has that special connection.

Pittsburgh is the most dependent for sports. we're not a huge market, we're not flashy, and we're not that obnoxious, but we have sports in our blood more than any other city. In fact the only city that can even make an argument to this is Chicago, but they cant because they dont really really care about the Bulls. Take away sports from boston, you still have history. Take em away from New York, you've got the economy and job opportunites still. Take sports away from Pittsburgh, and the steel city as we know it is gone. All of our teams were part of the original group of professional teams and they've all been successful. High school football is a staple of nearly everyones childhood and parenthood. Sports are the oxygen of Pittsburgh.

Cleveland, Philly, Chicago fans are the luckiest. Sorry buffalo, your just not big enough. heres the thing you poor suffering cities, you havent reached your sports nirvana yet, and trust me, its more exhilerating trying to reach it than it is waiting to feel that way again. Pittsburgh and Boston got hangovers that lasted over a year after the Steelers, Patriots won there respectful championships. And be honest beantown, last year wasnt AS good as 04, it just wasnt, and next year the celtics wont be as much fun either. you've got to wait fo the next tiny slump. selfish i know.

I am a diehard Red Sox fan. Rivera is one of my favorite closers. At the 2005 opening game at Fenway, when the sox got their rings, they announced the Yankee's lineup. They said "Mariano Rivera" and everybody started cheering because he blew the game. Instead of doing anything dumb, he raised his hat and was such a good sport about it. Thats dignity.

thats a god damn lie

im not a fan of yankees fans either(thats if there crazy and bzatchs)

but that was a complete joke what happend during the game

i don't seem to remember a ton of booing of yankee players during the '99 all star game, but maybe thats just me

so i hate all baseball teams... as a sport, honestly... it sucks... but heres an interesting lil tidbit.. my fraternity bro owns a house on the same lake as Derek Jeters' parents... and the owner of the marina this weekend said that like a few months ago , DJ bought 3 waverunners (cash ) at like noon one day... at 3pm he brought them back, all 3 engines fried.... yes he destroyed 3 waverunners in 3 hours.

as of the past decade, i'd disagree

so would sports illustrated

just because they have more teams, and thus, more championships, does not mean they are the best sports city in the world.

sports illustrated has stated that boston is the best sports city repeatedly throughout the decade.

and i think it's sad that yankee fans aren't ready to kill the owners of yankee stadium for tearing it down, i know sox fans threw a shit fit when they were considering building a new fenway, because as you said about yankee stadium, there is so much history there.

it really does though. if im someone who wants to live somewhere where he can see everything sports have to offer, then NYC is where im going to live.

AL baseball team
NL baseball team
AFC football team
NFC football team
2 big market NBA teams that are about to both make splashes in the nba (Lebron James stakes)
2 NHL teams
US Open Tennis
Big East Tournament for college bball (continually the highest rated conference tourny)
3 to 4 Venues that can host a golf US Open/PGA Championship

Sports isnt limited to just baseball and football. so over the last decade, im still going with NYC

^^^ yah but alot of their teams get really shittay..for example both basketball teams blow...hockey pretty much sucks...jets suck...giants hold their own...yankees hold their own SOMETIMES....Mets have streaks...Now how bout boston....hmmmmmm

I kno im just talking about recent history but most of it carries through the ages

clutch is being up in the 8th or 9th inning and coming through with a big hit...... jeter gets singles in the 3rd inning with no one on........ and strikes out in the 8th when it counts

yup if you are into soccer

but boston is up there too

Celtics, Patriots, Flyers, Cannons (MLL team), they have a soccer team too cant remember it atm, Boston College football and basketball

i think you're confusing "best sports town", with "most sports town"

seeing as all four of boston's major sports made it to the playoff, 3 of which went to their championship games, of which two one the championship title, which arguably makes them the best sports town in the country, now, don't get me wrong new york has some good teams, and lots, of them so there's pleanty of variety, however, they just don't have as much talent compared to boston teams anymore

say what you want about recently but the yankees have 26 world series. thats a ridiculous statement unless you follow saying the yankees and sometimes it by saying the red sox hold their own a couple times. dont forget the red sox were the laughing stock of major league baseball for almost 35 years between about 45 and 80. i know thats a long time ago but baseball is an old game

right but what im saying is the objective sports fan would have to choose new york because it offers so much more. dont get me wrong, boston is Titletown.
