FTE outsoles on Ascendants?

Hey guys, my friend is getting a pair of Ascendant SC’s for Christmas and his bindings aren’t gripwalk compatible. He needs to get a new pair of outsoles for his boots but the green ones that are ascendant compatible don’t match his sutup at all. Since the Ascendant has an evolution shell, would these fit his boots?

Also its not necessary for him to have pins on his boots right now so an alpine outsole is just fine

No he needs new outsoles because he has a pair of pivot 12’s that aren’t gripwalk compatible, and needs apline outsoles in order for his new boots to fit in his bindings

Yea really tho, i had 2 friends buy pairs today for their ascendants. I had no idea gripwalk wouldn’t fit, makes sense i guess

No no they don’t, had this same issue when I had the boot. FT makes an Ascendant-specific alpine sole. The FTE soles don’t work because they don’t have cutouts on the heel for the heel insert. Don’t buy those or you’ll end up returning them.

Correct, even if he isn’t using the heel insert, the soles won’t screw on because they lack the cutout.

Website is not the best for parts unfortunately currently so he can call customer service to order these. As of right now we have 139 pairs of the larger ones in stock and 24 pairs of the smaller ones.
