FT Tongue flex conversion?

I was just wondering what flex a #6 tongue would be on the regular scale. I think #4 is around 80 but I'm asking.

I would think a 6 would be closer to an 80/90.

I've been told the 10 is kinda like a 120-130, and that the 8 compares to a 100-110.

Flex index aren't directly transferable between brands. Flex 100 on Nordica and Salomon is quite different.

But as far as a rough estimation goes, the previous post speaks the truth. You should also take in to calculation that the tongues has a progressive flex and becomes stiffer the further you flex them. When I switched to three piece boots three three or four years ago (to green/brown konflicts) I chose to go with the standard tongue which were slightly softer in the beginning of the flex than I was used too but the were perfect when flexed.

I now ride Il Moros with the stiff tongue.

Seems about right.

I'm rocking #10 on my First Chairs, and they're the stiffest flex I've felt in a boot. I love it.

As said though, all companies seem to differ from here to there when it comes down to flex of their boots.

Just curious, are you ordering new tongues? I'm sure where ever you got your FTs, you'd be able to go in and flex a #6 or #4.
