FS: Troy Lee D2

i need to get rid of my troy lee D2. the size is Medium/Large (7-7 3/8)

i bought it at the end of last summer, and have only used it one time since. there is a scratch about the size of a penny from where the helmet went from tailgate to asphalt in the parking lot, but other than that the helmet is brand new.

Are most bike full-face helmets compatible (i.e. similar saftey standards) with a fullface specific to skiing?

i don't wanna answer for him, but i'm sure they're the same, if not better than skiing saftey standards. i mean these are for motocross or w/e so i'm sure they have to be bomb proof

u said it went from tailgate to asphalt, that might have compromised the foam. It is a bike helmet and therefore single impact foam, unless im wrong.

it would be completely fine i dropped my old d2 off the ski lift fell 40 fett it was fine

maybe the d2 uses multi impact foam, like ski helmets, but i know that most motorcycle, and bicycle helmets use a polystyrene that cracks and absorbs the impact of the crash. Thats why you can never drop a motorcycle helmet. Hairline cracks that are invisible can sometimes occur and compromise the helmet. I dont know about this troy lee one, but thats just a heads up on bike helmets

if im not mistaken, i think he means that it dropped from tailgate to ground, without him in it. i dont think this should compromise a helmet at all. thats like 4 feet. with no weight in it. if seth trusts that helmet when he puts his 160 pound self in it, and throws himself over ungodly cliffs, it should have a shitload more life in it. that drop shoudlnt hurt it remotley.
