FS: Super 8 camera NEW

Alright guys, I’ve got a brand new (never used) 1979 Bell

& Howell movie camera. It’s a model 1225 sound Super 8mm camera. So if you

don’t know what that means then it might be a little out of your capabilities

as far as working and getting everything right. This is good for anyone who

knows a bit about filming and editing but wants to experience shooting film for

real, or just wants to get that really cool old school look! I have not used

this camera however I have shot some super 8 before (http://vimeo.com/2301018 so you can see what the footage looks like). This camera is different than my

main one in the sense that it can record sound, and in order to do that it only

has one frame rate of 18fps. This gives that great old movie look with the

flicker that is clearly recognizable as an old film camera. Please note that I

would not recommend this as an alternative to a digital video camera, it is

simply a different tool to get a different effect, a very cool effect! I’m not

in a super big rush to get rid of it, so please don’t lowball but if you are

interested please feel free to ask any questions you have.

Price: $150 shipped.

are you in the need of any park/all mtn skis? I have a pair of brand new octolands i want to get rid of. would you be interested in some sort of trade? of course id ask you to throw some cash on top since my octolands are Brand New but let me know. This would be an awesome addition this winter.

im gonna throw out there that my dad used to work for bell and howell (not their camera division). also that camera is legit!!!!

ok question...ive always wondered how on earth you get the footage from the oldschool film cameras onto the computer for editing?

After you shoot the film and have it processed (developed) then you have to have it transfered to digital (miniDV tape normally) via telecine. There are tons of places that do it. Some people do it themselves with a projector and a video camera, or basically recording the footage projected on a screen.

this is pretty cool. ive always been into oldschool shit. like i use my nikon FE2 for cool black/white film photography. Really hope someone jumps on this offer.

bump cause i respect oldschool steeze.
