So, As like many of us, I hate wind noise with a passion.

So I set out on a Journey to buy a "Dead Cat" for my Rode Videomic, When I saw that its 30buck plus shipping for one, I automatically said to myself "F*ck that, I'll just make some of my own." And I did.

Compared to the ones that rode and other companies sell, mine are:

Cheaper (10 bucks or more cheaper)

Fuzzier (Cuts out more wind noise)

Made In Canada! (Not some Asian country)

They Are 17$ Bucks shipped to North America, and 20$ Shipped Overseas.

They also come with a lifetime warranty, so if it ever tears or something with it goes wrong, just mail it in, and I'll send you a new one.

Damn it dude. I just bought one for 40 at my local camera store yesterday. Fuck. Good luck selling though!

looks awesome man and i would love to buy one if i had a rode but it would be nice to get some test samples/ comparison to real ones so were not paying for $17 for a duster.

I like your karma score, straight 4's haha. Thanks man!

Also, see what their return policy is, you may not be shit out of luck!

here is a clip that i took using one:

No wind noise at all, just a bit of hum from the horrible AGC on my 7D.

i was just about to make a WTB thread for a deadcat. I'm assuming this will fit on a VMP, so i'll take one. PM me your paypal.

PM me your Paypal. ON3P will be making a purchase... love to see you doing it yourself and we would much rather be giving you our money than someone who makes them in China!

Looks like it would fit, the azden looks a bit smaller than the rode so there shouldn't be an issue with it fitting in.

Inb4 that's what she said joke.

I LOVE MINE.

I picked one up earlier in the week from him and i love it. It works super well and heck, for 17 dollars you can't go wrong.

GREAT QUALITY, EVERYONE BUY ONE !!

For those of you who want better audio quality and less wind-noise that do not have a mic, I'm working on a deadcat/wind muff for DSLR on-board mics. So far its working pretty good and isn't bulky or awkward.

It will fit over the mic, but it may need to be cut shorter, but that shouldn't be an issue at all, it can be done with a pair of scissors.

https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/688658/There is the thread for the windscreens for DSLR built-in Mics I'm making.

Some of you guys will be getting grey coloured ones because the fabric store ran out of white fur. But, It'll be a suprize as to who gets them because I lost track of what colours got sent to who. haha

Going to have to cut it a fair bit shorter to fit on my videomic pro. Hope it doesn't fray or anything if I do.

OP you're the fucking man, I don't have a mic, but do you have plans to start up a site of some sort?

I'm all out, and both the types of fabric are sold out at the local stores... so I ordered some more but it should be a few weeks till I get it in.

I do still have the Micro-muff style ones still though!
