whats so good about pivot? like ive only seen in pics but it looks like theres to metal bars holding a plastic kinda hook? for the back? like i dont get how it works
 
On the pivots, the whole back part twists to release the boot from the back as well as the front. The pivoting guides the heel of the boot out on backward twisting falls, hence the name: Pivot. The pivot ones are also way better because of the shorter mounting position. The PX have a really long mounting zone creating a deadspot under the heel of the ski. The pivot bindings were discontiouned in 05 because they costed more to make then the PXs.
