The Story: I won these skis in a sales competition at my shop last year and i was planning on mounting them and skiing them this year but i decided that i should probably pay off my debt and figured this was a good way to make a little cash to pay off that car. So i thought that i would try to see what i could get on here because i would always rather see these skis go to the kind home of a fellow NSer and if theres not much interest they will be visiting ebay shortly.

They Are: ESSENTIALLY Maiden AK's with a different; very unique, smooth, crisp, hoppy taste....i mean graphic. Dimensions are around (130/110/120) i believe. 179 cm in length (note that k2 measures their skis differently and they are actually a bit longer).

I Want: NO LOWBALL OFFERS, it pains me to see these skis go so dont hurt my ego anymore then it already has been. Also sorry im not looking for any trades like i said before i need to pay off that debt, and more skis/clothes wont do that for me.

Maidens without this unique graphic retailed at well over $800.00 just for reference.

On the last one you can see k2 and PBR logos that only show in certain light, a nice touch
 
yeah they retailed for 800 but like all skis they never sold for that. Madians sold for about 500 I believe. I have 350 I will give you for those skis.
 
i'll pass, regardless these skis are dope i dont care if madens sold for less.

For even more reference the cheapest ive heard of these skis selling for was 550 on the tgr forums...
 
Hence ebay in a few days, as far as i know (according to the k2 rep) only 250 pairs of these have been made... I dont think im being at all stingy.

sidenote, i didnt say i was asking 550, i just said i wasnt going to take 350.
 
okay well try ebay, theres another pair on there right now for 550 and they arnt selling either, im just not seeing any one on here pay over 350 for those, yea they are cool but they are just another top sheet on another made'n they are gunna get chipped up and crap out just like any other ski im pretty sure thats how everyone on here looks at em, NSers dont have money to buy skis as wall hangers
 
plus your graphic is off center, there is alot more red than blue. they are suposed to be layed with even colors. THANKS CHINA

I SKI THESE AND THEY ARE SICK.
Have to mount them with jesters.
450 is a fair price I'd say. Someone should def. cop them for around that.
 
even $450 is a good deal, don't forget that under the fucking epic graphic is a brand new pair of sick ass pow skis... Considering that you can easily sell used pow skis for 300 I would say 350 is a ridiculous lowball.
 
Update: I'm looking for 500+shipping costs which i cannot imagen will be anywhere over 35-40 bucks, any feedback on the shipping costs for these skis would be greatly appreciated.
 
pm this guy livetojib22 theres a thread at the bottom of the page by him looking for a pair of maden's for $350 but i think he would probly pay more since they are new
 
you're smoking crack son. yes they are maidens and yes they have the pbr graphic, but you're on ns and most people here don't pay anywhere near that much for their skis if they even do pay. i'll give you $250 plus shipping then save them and hang them in my bar at my house in around 5 years from now.
 
I'm thinking about it. I got a good sized check coming in from selling my truck. I need a good pow ski too.

I'd maybe go in the 4-500 area for those if you'd pay shipping, it'll be cheap cause I can give ya a commercial address to ship to.

 
i do appreciate the offer and if i suddenly decide that i need new pow skis i have some 85' stz's, but i was pretty happy with those so we'll see.

Look, here is the deal. He won these skis. He is trying to make some money back. But bottom line is, this kid is trying to hype them up and get more than MARKET PRICE while painting some sob story about debt. Why dont you sell the stuff you owe on to pay back your debt.

I owe $80k on my student loans, but I'm not selling stuff on NS above market value. Do whatever you want with my karma. I actually think it would be cool to have a super low number. Anyone who knows me knows I dont assrape anyone when it comes to buying and selling. Buy for a fair price, sell for a fair price. But nickel and diming a ski you got for free? Douche move man.
 
well seeing as my debt is for my first car which i just bought i dont really want to turn around and sell it.
A good general rule of thumb for pricing on NS i believe is taking 50% of msrp and then taking into account several other factors, such as market demand, rarity of the item and how eagerly you do really want to sell. If i was in no need to pay off my debt i probably would be holding out for over 600+ shipping, but seeing as i really do not have the time or patience to wait for that muhc more money to go towards paying off my debt i thought i would sell a bit lower. Basically ive taken less then 50% of msrp and added on about 25% to account for the rarity of the ski....
BTW, the MSRP on the madens is $795...and they only pressed 250 pairs with the Pabst graphic.

My price is by no means cheap but i think its perfectly reasonable for this unique ski... Not to mention ak's ski like champs and that ski alone brand new goes for no less then $500 (shop value obviously not forums) (and im aware they're no longer in production). Thus i dont think asking 500 is really as absurd as everyone has tried to make it seem, just my opnion atleast.

And on another note i don't think i went into that forum with a sense of entitlement, i was confident and firm with my price but i didnt really feel i was at all rude or cocky.
 
Also as of now it appears that the skis are still for sale, one person never contacted me back and the other 'found a different' pair.

still 500.
