FS: Line Elizabeths and Oakley Hoodie

The line Elizabeths are the first run lizzies. I think it was 2005, i may be wrong. They are custom painted with what i believe is sharpie. It was done by a member on here named TriFecta. They are still in really good shape for such old skis.

Top sheet is chipped and scrapped but it is not bad enough to cause problems. No edge cracks, there is a deeper shot in the base, and the bases are a little scrapped up a new wax will help.

They have px12 bindings and they are on the fourth mount. They are mounted for a 28.5 spk which is 327mm if i remembered correctly.

They definitely made these skis tougher than the recent ones. The flex profile is different also, it is stiffer than the newer lizzies.

I will entertain offers.

Thanks

i said start as in offer and the price will go down. I just need some money so people can offer. And the px12s i bought brand new That price is shipped.

Im a big guy at 6'2" 230 and i didnt have any problem with the mulitple mounts. These were built much more durable than resent skis, im pretty sure they were built in the U.S before line moved production to china.

I will drop the price of the elizabeths to 125 shipped. Its a good deal for solid skis for messing around.

I slid the heel piece down and i had a 26.5 boot that wouldnt fit because the binding was to small. So im guessing it goes from about a 25 to a 29

I assume you dont want to just sell the bindings since the skis have been mounted 4 times already? If you do ill give you an offer of around 50 for em

These ones are soft, but not nearly as soft as todays lizzies. These are of a burlier construction thicker side walls and are stiffer. More of a medium to soft flex, and new lizzies would be very soft.

If they are mounted dead center, and someone with a smaller boot gets them, that would put them past center... just food for thought.

120 shipped for the skis. Lowest im going. These still have a ton of life in them, they are burly enough to not have to worry about the four mounts. These are solid skis.

40 shipped on the hoodie

Think what you want. but these things are solid skis, they built them much better before they moved things to china.

And who cares if they have sharpie, graphics dont matter and they are unique this way.

Like I said. The original graphic would have almost been worth the money alone. Not the crappy sharpie job.

As for them being "solid skis"

I call bullshit... I have last years lizzies, and although they are soft, they are by far the most durable skis I have ever owned. I have like 80 days on them, of teaching, big mountain, park, cliff lines, etc. WAY more than what these skis are meant for, and besides some small gouges in the base, and some tiny tiny tiny topsheet scratches, they look brand new. But I would NEVER buy a used Elizabeth, with more than one mount.

You must think pretty highly of your stuff.

You should split the two, those are much better bindings than skis, in my humble opinion.

Personally i would not trust the lizzies you speak of more than two mounts. But these are quite a bit different skis. Same dimensions but much better build quality and stiffer flex profile.

I dont think highly of my stuff, but im not going to give it away like many Nsers beleive everything should be like they are entitled to the best deal possible.

I think 120 is a reasonable price, considering i bought the bindings new and the skis have a lot life left in them even if it seems like they might not.

How do they have a much higher build quality again?

They were both probably made with the same wood, the same sidewall, bases, and edges (Line hasn't made then thinner, its the other way around)

They were made with the same types of fiberglass, probably using the same style press, with the same heat settings and pressures.

The only difference, is that the newer models were made overseas, and then shipped around the world from a more centralized location.

If you are assuming Asians make inferior skis, your racist, and if you think Line has downgraded their manufacturing methods or materials in the pursuit of a minuscule increase in profit, then your ill informed.

"Stiff, bomber" metal skis often break easier than pure wood core skis, because the metal has no elasticity, and you get delamination and bending easier.

You would be surprised what factors actually make a ski "durable"

Dude you just made so many assumptions, i dont know why this is bugging you so bad?

I wasnt saying they made them out of different materials. But it is a different construction. I have these in my possession i have skied them and so has my brother that has skied newer lizzies and they are much different. They do feel and look much more durable than todays lizzies. I dont know why this is, maybe i have a prototype ski or something i dont know. But i have handled both and these are diffently thicker and heavier.

All i know is this is not the same lizzy that everybody knows.

This does not make them more durable.

4 mounts is still 4 mounts.

The strength of a ski comes from its fiberglass, and when that many straight strands are cut, you greatly decrease the durability of the ski.

That is all I am saying.

I am sorry if I sound pissed or ill-willed.

Yes 4 mounts is for mounts. You are right.

But skiing these i do not feel as though they are going to rip out or cause problems.

The buyer may be worried about that, but i am only asking 120 for them and most likely these will be a just for fun or backup ski for someone, not an only or everyday ski.

So in that case the 4 mounts isnt that big of a deal or the condition, these are not serious hucking 80 foot tables skis. Maybe an urban or mess around ski.
