a little under 3600 songs in my itunes is 17.67gb
im not that great at math but it doesnt seem to compute. not trying to be a dick, just buyer beware

yeah he is right, It will hold between 4000-5000 songs depending on which gen this is 1st or 2nd, and what format the songs are in.
