they perform well. once they flex in after a few days they've got a nice pop. ride smooth no chatter, and a good sidecut for switch riding. check em out

Jordan is correct - we're doing a sale right now for $299/pair. Won't last forever though. Glad to see the awards (Stomp Games) we're giving out for the comp are going to people who really appreciate 'em...

Anyone who is considering buying these, not to dissuade you but please know that BOONE does not warranty skis given away as promo's or prizes. If you buy from us or one of our retailers, you're getting a warranty with your ski for 12 months post-proof-of-purchase date!!!

They should still stand by their product. By giving it away they acknowledge that they are losing money anyway, they should def warranty promo shit. At least that's how I see it.

If not warrantying promo products is an industry standard then it's not really Boone's fault, but otherwise it seems odd.

He is correct!

For clarification - if you win something from us - we get your name (either from us or whoever is holding the event) and your product is registered with us and we will stand behind the product - ie: we will warranty it. However, if you win a product and then sell it to someone else, the product loses its warranty.

As an aside, the idea behind giving out skis as prizes is not to turn the skis we give away into currency for the winner to sell - they are a gift for that individual to keep and use.

You run and operate your own business, you are obviously a main with a brain in his head, and know whats going on. I don't think it is right for you to come on here and indirectly say what this kid is doing is wrong or incorrect. I know you didn't say it, but we all know what you mean. The winner who received the skis, received the skis. It's not like he signed something saying he had to keep and ride them himself. He should and does have the freedom to do what he wants with them.

Of course, I see your side too. New company and you want to get product out to hit the largest geographic target market as possible within reason. Kids bartering product is just how the industry goes. It appears it is now a social norm to turn around and sell product that is won in competitions these days; you see these threads all over on NS.

I think it sucks for you too, but let the kid do what he wants.

skis, tragically, do not pay rents. nor are they accepted as currency at grocery stores, to my knowledge. again, tragic. though it does seem to work the other way... im sure lots of skiers would pay food for skis.
