Mounted twice. Once at suggested, second mount at +5.5. Mounted with Marker m12 freerides ti's. I will sell these skis with or without bindings. No edge damage, no delam.
It's pretty easily actually, namely with Salomon brakes. Real soft.
I put them on the ski, eye balled about where they'd need to bend over the ski. Put them in a vice grip, and baked them real hot with a butane blow torch. Took an old skinny bike handle bar, or ski pole works too, put it over the brake and bent away.
Let me find a video of it. I didn't mount the ski first like in the video, but the bending and pipe usage are similar.
Put the tube over it and bend straight, then bend down where you think the eyeballed bend spot should be. The danger with the video technique is that you could rip the binding out.
I believe the tip exploded.. or delammed. A few but not all of the 1st year bacons had this problem. He got them warrantied with next years skis, like the next week. Soo.. like he had next years before I even had my 1st years mounted up.
