whats the trick to doing them on a flatbox? i was trying them today and kept doing just 270 sw ups

I've never tried them but if ur on a flat box U should spin faster, (wind up as if u were going for a large spin) and jump higher, the more time in the air the more you'll spin

if you;re not doing them in the air then ignore the jumping part

Ya i just started doing them on flatboxes to make it easier on kinks.... for one make sure your ski is right on the edge of the box like your going to K fed or front switchup, and i dont jump until my body is almost facing forward. And the other key is when you jump pull your knees up hard or its really tough to make it past 2sev. And when i do them i dont 2sev on and i do it front side. Depending on what foot forward you are, say left foot as soon as you hop on the box jump backside if you spin right and that helps get you around.

hah thats sooo weird u made this thread cuz i was tryin em today and could only get 270 also.. so it kinda looked like a k-fed

Do 450 on first, then just jump and spin.

Or if its a flat down, you could just 270 on, then do it.

oh and bend your knees during the spin so you can delay your airtime as long as possible.

450 on would set you up for blindside...and a 360 doesnt have to be forced.

to start, you need to be able to 450 out of anything, next you need to learn how to cheat. cheating can also be referred to as STYLE. in the event of a simple 270 out, you can open up early, by using your feet and set the 270 so there is no movement during the spin. now that the cat is out of the bag, ride on to a box switch, let your skis cheat and focus on the switchup. when your skis are just about to be on the box 50-50 do your 270 switchup, and WA-LA, you've cheated around a 360.

360 switchups start around 2:00.

never tried them frontside. but when i learned backsides last season i was having the same problem until i just started making sure my head was getting all the way around to spot it. dont look down, look around and spot the box. they should come to you.

^agreed.

its wierd that blindside leaves you to see the rail the whole time, kind of like switch 270 on. but with frontside the majority of the trick is blind.

hah i was just trying to learn these today, but on a smaller flat down. Basically my friend told me to make sure you suck your knees up and make sure you jump up in order to get the full 360 rotation. I was also having problems with coming off to the left side of the box (i grind left foot forward) so he told me to angle into the box more, when coming into it and as soon i did that i got it (insert claim). Just keep looking.
