frontside bs backside bs

no, this confused me for the longest time, but i eventually got it down.

frontside = back faces downhill

backside = front faces downhill

yes, confusing, i dont know who the moron was who made the names...

i always thought it was the opposite

Frontside= front facing down the hill

Backside= back facing down the hill

i was just wondering because i probably know more about snowboarding than my friends do and ive only snowboarded a couple times compared to their 3 years

 
its becasue of the front foot...

on a backside (facing fowards), your front foot goes backwards

and on a frontside (facing backwards), your back foot goes frontwards

so a backside lipslide u actually do go backwards lol... its insane

let that sink in for a minute

becky's works for rails, but for air, frontside, you spin to the left if you are regular, right if you are goofy, nade vice versa for backside
