I search bared this and didnt find a realy answer on it so here it goes. I want to learn a frontflip and i can do them 100% of the time on a tramp and like 45% of the time of of nothing but a run and I was wondering what i should use as a take off. Should i build a kicker or should i just try

and huck one off a cat track or something?

i disagree a little, but ya, def do it into pow. i did it off kicker made for backs first. and that tought me to really try to spin hard

Wouldnt doing it off a jump made for back just throw me backwards into a backflip rotation rather than into a frontflip rotation

ive never done them out of the park. i just tried it one day and it was pretty easy. i like the smooth floaty jumps to do them on.

i would do them off a jump into slush or powder. something soft basically. from my experience steep jumps actually make it a lot easier cause they kick you way better. and use your hands too, flipping on skis takes a lot more momentum.

I learned them off windlips and cornices. Anything with a flat takeoff and steeper landing. I think it helps to learn them into powder because you can throw the first couple onto your back to get confidence up and figure out how to set the rotation without having to worry about landing on your feet at first.

The first one I ever tried was on an extremely small jump and I planted a fist into the ground and almost rotated it. Then I built a jump with a slight upward takeoff and just hucked it. The first dozen or so fails didn't hurt because it was into some powder and steep and then I landed. Its hard to spot and land.

Watch the fronts in the posted video, you really have to do them like that. Pop huge, then get your air sense and set your rotation. Trust me dude, you have little to lose, just try it off a smaller jump and make sure you are ready to commit. You should pretty much know you'll stomp it before trying it.

I did mine off of a very poppy small jump (20 ft). the takeoff was steep and its easy to just lean a little forward and throw. you just come around slowly but you have a lot fo time in the air to rotate. just be sure to throw hard enough. there not too bad and they are sooooo fun to huck

or if your me you can swan dive right on to you face twice in a row.

ok but i agree windlips and cornices are the way to go. make sure you go into powder first couple though cause if you dont make it all the way around you are gonna have some killer shinbang.
