class act to whoever made the call on the front page. sammy didn't qualify, big fucking deal. move on to what really happened, andreas won his first gold medal. im a huge sammy c fan since i ride at his local resort but im the first one to tell you to move on. there are always discrepancies in judging, we all know they are going to happen but its just a part of it. andreas deserves major recognition for his win ?(his run was ridiculous) and you put sammy gets screwed on the front page? i guess it captures the immature nature of the site though so maybe it is appropriate
 
i can definately see your side of the view, and as much as i like hatveit, i'm still bummed it didn't turn out for sammy. however, putting a picture on the login page of sammy isn't suggesting much. sure, maybe a few people though sammy got jipped, but then again there's the possibilty that it was a better shot than one they had of andreas. It's just a picture, and no one said anything suggestive about the front page shot. it's just a good picture.
 
also can't forget about last year, when they put one up of mahre... same issue if you're going to look at it that way, really. no one has anything against andreas.
 
The fact that its more threads about Sammy not qualifying than Andreas' win says the most.

Sammy fell on both of his run, cant complain about the judges...
 
right on brian...i agree with you 100%.  it would have been way fun to see sammy rip the coarse apart but  im super stoke that andreas won... that run was epic.
 
i understand what your saying, but thats not the site being immature, its their opinion that sammys run was better than andreas' thres no need the freak out about it
 
actually its their opinion that his qualifying run was better than olenicks. and i understand that part of the reason its the cover photo is because it is a super dope shot, but the caption just isnt necessary
 
I guess i can see where your coming from, But maybe they just had a better shot of sammy than they did of Andreas
 
cool picture, bad caption........now if they wouldve put a picture of travis rice up and said he got robbed, it wouldve been a good caption....
 
yeah dang i was so pissed. that double rodeo 10 was sooo money. much cooler than a 12 even if it was switch and backside
 
I agree. How about we toss up a pic of Kevin Pearce and say that he got robbed? The caption is totally wack. Sick pic though.
 
i didnt see the caption until seeing this thread, and i find it incredibly disrespectful, just as many of the people found the booing of tanner disrespectful after simon's run in pipe. Just as tanner worked extremely hard for his victory, Andreas trained extremely hard for his as well. The way the front page dwells on someone who could have been a contender, had he not fallen, detracts from the victory that Andreas Hatveit rightfully earned. Maybe if Sammy had been able to nail down a run, he could have placed in the comp, but since he didnt, how about we direct some of the attention and appreciation towards the people who did nail down their runs, specifically Andreas Hatveit.
