Simple question. just wondering where the pic comes from? is it just randomly selected from the pic databases?

 
nah...its usually taken by a NS operator (bishop, nopoles, cko) at an event, and they post it.

if your talking about the log in page what he said ^ was right, but if you're talking about the member pictures on the 'news page' or what ever, thats just some pics that the admins or the mods thought were quality and selected to cycle through randomly. so yah i guess its sorta like a database of good pics

The member pictures are pictures posted in the Media -> Pictures sections. An admin much as CK or Kamikazee must approve a picture for it to appear on the front page.
