Front Flip, any tips?

Today I got the courage to attempt a front flip. The first one I landed flat on my back and flew forward after I got ejected, and the second was no better. I dont know whether it is better to build a bigger kicker, get more speed for more air or try to rotate faster. Would it better if the kicker was bigger, keeping in mind Im just starting out with this trick and dont wanna kill myself?

Rotate faster and huck it. When you get around spotyour landing and stomp it. Dont know how big the kicker that your hitting is so cant give you any advice on that.

skiing is just another way to please yourself without the mess.

Its not too big, but the runway isn't steep enough to get alot of speed. If anyones gonna be on blackcomb the jumps right on 7th ave. when you go around the st corner it's up the hill a bit. Make it as big as you want

nail them on the tramp first, but most of all, you dont HAVE to make it smooth first time, first time Jon Olsson did one of his imfamous, dspins, i bet you it wasnt smooth or huge, just he landed and go from there

get em in the pool, trampoline, and then just try em into powder or some shit, just make sure you commit or youll have the stiffest neck this side of a dyslexic whore

well i would say rotate as fast as possible and put both hands on your knees and probaly a bigger kicker and more speed will help a lot!

John- God forgives,

MOUNTANS DON'T

well what szocs told me at high north was to look at something on the horizon and try and almost dive at it, when you feel lyour legs above your head grab your knees and pull it in.,, good luck

What the hell were they doing with a car on the moon?... havent they gone far enough?

yea I can stick fronts and backs on trampolines and into pools, I was just wondering what you think is easier on skis and how hard it is, (I can do backs better on a tramp, almost off the ground)

backs are easier to throw, but fronts are a lot easier to get the courage to throw them the first time. But I suggest going for the back first, and maybe try it in the pipe before you try it on a jump

just hold down the spacebar, hold down you up arrow and let go of the spacebar on the lip. its simple, its easy, its amazingly cheesy!

get used to throwing them on a tramp or in pools - that may help but otherwise just tuck you knees in and rotate faster.

Some dude said it (above me) it doesn't have to be styled out your first time, so just land a couple and get confident throwing fronts and then you can really start to style them out

backs are easier, but make sure you pull your hips back and spot your landing right away, or you'll be doing one of my famous face plants;)

I think the most important is to focus on throwing yourself forward immediatley when you leave the kicker as you pop. In the beginning people tend to do that too late and waste too much airtime on offsetting the natural backward momentum that comes with any jump. Then it is hard to still pull it off unless you really catch very big air.
